ppearr
I plan to do my extended essay along the lines of : How does serotonin affect social anxiety disorder?. I was thinking that maybe it will be too complicated since I will have to do some kind of experiment. Also, I'm not taking biology, only chemistry hl and that could make it harder too. I do want my essay to be about cognitive behavior/brain chemical activity since I'm really interested in that topic. I personally suffer from social anxiety (though I've improved a great deal), that is why I like the topic so much. Maybe it could be something like: to what extent does cognitive behavioral therapy help with social anxiety? I need opinions, maybe I'm choosing too complex topics and need to make it a bit simpler. Any suggestions/criticism is greatly appreciated. Reply

allergictoalliteration
You can do the EE on your given topic in Psychology instead of Biology. You can't really experiment on human subjects, especially for a topic like yours. Psychology EEs don't require experimentation, so. Reply
