MissCookie
Hey guys, For my grade SL Math IA, I was thinking of doing something related to baking, and cooling temperatures. I want to be able to experiment by baking cakes and monitoring their cooling rates in different environments (moist environment, room temperature, dry environment etc...) and I want to be able to relate it to Newton's cooling laws. I think I could model this by using graphs to compare the different cooling rates in different environments. Possibly, I could create some formulas for how each cake cooled in each environment. Overall, I am pretty unsure about whether this is appropriate for a grade SL math IA, but I can't come up with any other ideas that interest me. Any help would appreciated, and also suggestions to make this idea more "at my level" would be great. Thanks a bunch in advance!
