YOU_LA
Hi! I just started my IB program and I am wondering about the CAS. Mostly about Creativity section. I am looking for ideas. I play flute and piano, but I don't have any lessons, I just study myself. What do you do? I am looking for something nice, pleasure, and what will not take too much time. Thx Reply

Sirocco
The thing about CAS is that for every activity you do, you need to show that you have learnt something new and/or how it helped you grow as a person. So I would suggest taking official flute lessons, as it is considered learning something new. You could talk about the differences in self-taught and actual lessons in your reflection. Also, Creativity in CAS does not necessarily cover only artistic activities. It also includes solving problems in creative ways in a tough situation. You could do a survival camp activity of some kind; it gives a healthy mix of creativity and action hours. Hope this helps. Charleen
Music, art, learning a language, cooking, gardening, baking, photography - these are all good creativity ones. Reply
