SuRvIvE iB
so for the past 2 years I didnt do maths homework, understand class and now theres only 3 weeks till finals...I regret not dropping to studies now but its too late for that...I've been predicted to pass all my other subjects but a low 2 for maths sl...I just don't want to get a 1 for maths (i.e. fail the diploma), is there any topics that I really need to learn before finals? Are there any good resources to help people like me that don't have a mathematical mind? any tips will be much appreciated Reply
Yugalarex
It's pretty hard to get a two in my opinion but you should learn the formula book and how to use it. Just do some conceptual mapping so you know how to use each formula and how to apply them to questions. Also, learn how to use your GDC. See your teacher. El :3
Hey I find watching YouTube videos tend to help a lot - just a quick overview of each of the topics. I did a YouTube search and found this channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7PQcrqGUVmWuTkPHlfQ8iJoDpTmMzkqD - it looks pretty useful! I suggest watching the videos, whilst taking notes. After that, keep practising papers, it's the best thing you can do! As Yugalrex said, know the formula book, because those equations save your life. Remember, everything in the exam is what you've covered, nothing is impossible. If you're stuck, look in the formula book and see if there are any equations whatsoever which you might be able to use. Try using the equations and see what happens - who knows, you might end up doing the right thing and get the right answer! Never ever leave any questions blank, even if you write a formula in the space for working out, you might get a mark for it (as long as it's the right formula!). Seriously, attempt everything, it's the best thing you can do for yourself in the actual exam, even if you have no idea what you're doing. Show steps for every bit of working out you do, because it's easy to pick up marks that way. I hope I helped a bit! turtle turtle
If you're aiming for a 2, just watching plenty of vids like an intense crash course then do pratctic papers. That should easily get you a 2. Reply
