Stephkrq Posted October 15, 2015 Report Share Posted October 15, 2015 So I am right now working on my IA for chemistry, I am looking at the chemistry of soap making and the saponification process with Olive and Coconut Oil. Along with this I am trying to calculate the percentage yield for my soaps, but for that i need the chemical formula for my oils, for the oils there are numerous types of fatty acids in them with their separate chemical formulas? Do i create and equation where all of these come together and create an overall formula which i then use for my percentage yield??? If you have any other suggestion i will be so thankful!! Thank You!
