IBvictim-help
Okay,I need help. So in a few days, I'm starting Chem 20 IB, Math 20 IB-F. How do I survive without crying on my tests? Reply
Rosalina
Never heard of the "F" in Math 20 IB. Anyhow, these two subjects are like any other class you would take. In Math, pay attention class to see what your teacher expects on your tests and homework. Aside from the fact that you should do your homework, do more than the minimum . Do extra question beyond the ones you were assigned because then you'll be exposed to different types of problems and then you won't be surprised on a test. Spend 20-30 minutes on just working on math problems everyday and don't think that you've mastered a concept just because you understood what your teacher was talking about in class or you could solve the first problem in your textbook. Practice is crucial to success in math. Never let a concept go past you with fully understanding it because it will come back in the future. In Chemistry, the same thing applies. Pay attention in class and take good notes. Try to study ahead (now is a good time) because then you'll know what you don't understand and you'll be more attentive in class to see when that part comes or you'll be able to ask a teacher about it. As for practicing, see if you can get a workbook from the library for some practice problems alongside your textbook. Previous quizzes are also great practice. Good luck and Enjoy.
