Seems to me like this would be a great EE topic for History if you are in that course. This will push you to do further research on the Cold War which you will see (or have already covered?) in class. If you're not in History, personally I recommend that you stay clear of doing your EE in Film Studies UNLESS you feel really confident in the course and usually write good analytical essays. BTW if you do choose that topic, let me know because I had to do some minor research on American propaganda films for my Film EE, like The Russians Are Coming! and Red Nightmare - they might be useful to check out.
