Laura1989
Hi! I'm struggling to find a theatre theorist that I like for my solo piece. Would Lin Manuel Miranda (author, actor and composer of Hamilton in Broadway and other various plays) be considered a theorist? He hasn't specifically written a theory but interviews about how he works have been published and he has a very obvious pattern. Would the IB penalise me for choosing someone as "modern"? Thank you!! goosemasondo
Nope, LMM doesn't count as a practitioner, and IB would probably penalise you for choosing someone from musical theatre because he's just a writer. I'm a huge fan of Lin-Manuel too, but IB usually likes practitioners that are purely theatre, not musical theatre or dance, like ballet or opera.
