Maddie Botello
I was wondering if practicing at a gun range would count as CAS since it's something I frequently do? Reply
mac117
Can you see it fall under any of the creativity, activity, or service groups? It doesn't really fit with open-mindness and global awareness, so I'd say it won't. Check with your coordinator to be sure. Reply
Nicole Chou
For my school, it does. The IB coordinator of my school actually told everyone that if you can prove by doing a specific activity, it can improve your way of learning then it counts as CAS hours. For your case, I think I would fit it into action and it actually "identify your strengths and develop areas for growth"(this is quote from my CAS contract). teaplease
At my school they even managed to get e-sport into cas so as Nicole says, probably if you give the right arguments, it's possible. Though it is also said that you should start a new activity so if it's not something you do very regular, you'd need to ask the coordinator i guess.
