Andrew101
Hi everyone, I want to do my maths IA on angle trisection. I want to explain the mathematical proof of why it is not possible to do so with only a compass and straight edge and then showcase my own method of approximation. Can I actually do that? IB Math Helper
You can do anything you want and this seems likely. Just make sure the proof is not trivial and has components that are part of the trig curriculum. The real hard part I think is the personal engagement factor. How exactly would you tackle that?
