Karan Naik Posted September 17, 2016 Report Share Posted September 17, 2016 Hey Guys, IB has really messed my mind up by asking me to make IAs for every subject i take. I was planning to do my IA in missile interception but it was too advanced and it required aeronautical engineering and mathematics. I then got a suggestion from my friend who graduated from IB this year and he told me to do calculus and Cricket. But, as usual, im lost and i have no clue where to begin.... IBTopper Posted September 18, 2016 Report Share Posted September 18, 2016 Hi Karan, It would be helpful if you specify things that interest you so we in the community can recommend ideas for you. From what I can make out, you can probably explore Projectile Motion, which is basically a physics concept but you can model it using Mathematics. One key component of the Mathematics Exploration is the Use of Mathematics, which carries 6 marks out of 20 (the largest for any criterion). Projectile motion is usually a topic where even Higher Level students score a 6 on 6 if they use it appropriately, so for SL I am optimistic that it would definitely help you.
