What is Social and Cultural Anthropology like as an IB subject?

I know it's not offered at many schools but I was just wondering if anyone has any experience in it?

I want to know because I am currently applying to UWC and if I get to go to my college of choice, I would be able to study it.

HI! Not sure if this info comes too late, but I'm currently taking Social and Cultural Anthropology at IB at Higher Level.

I think if you're a big humanities person, you'll find it really interesting. I personally find it extremely fascinating, especially how you start seeing things that connect to Social and Cultural Anthropology in the real world, even without you meaning to. If you truly like it, don't be discouraged if you don't start off doing that well, since you've probably had little contact with the subject prior to taking it.

However, I will warn you that, like you said, it's not offered at many schools, and as one of the more "obscure" subjects, there won't be as many online resources for you to look at to help you out, so make sure you either get a really good teacher, or you work very hard.
