oppumiah
I'm a HL student for maths, and we need to soon complete our IA's. My IA is about half complete but I'm worried about the level of maths contained in it. It's based on monte carlo methods, and I've just been exploring different methods of using it, such as integration. Whenever I read Journals, it just becomes too complex beyond my understanding, and it can be sometimes too difficult too understand for my own good. I was wondering what I could explore without making it seem like I've just copied a journal with understanding it. Some useful links for the topic would be quite helpful as well thanks. 1 Reply
kw0573
So if you have seen past paper 1 and 2, you would know that the last question on the exam often combines topics seemingly unrelated, eg combinatorics and trig. You can try to look for such connections to other syllabus content. If that works out, it may work much better than learning some advanced math but only scratched the surface. 2 Reply
