Gordon_P
I am starting to get a bit worried about the pacing in my HL Physics class. We are halfway through year 1 and have completed only the measurement and uncertainty unit and half of the mechanics unit. To me it seems like we are moving extremely slowly and that there is no way that all the material will be covered before exam time. Is this normal or is my class behind? Thanks for the help. Mr. G.
Yes, you have cause for concern. I teach DP Physics. I've done the pacing for my course for the entire 2 years and my class has finished topic 2, 4.1-4.4 and 9.1-9.3, as well as having covered a lot of the ideas from Topic 1, tangentially. I may be ahead of some other classes, but your class is significantly behind. You should be speaking to your teacher. If they can't explain their plan to get it all done, then you could bring it to your DP Coordinator. Good luck. Reply
