Hello all, I would really appreciate any help with this issue. For my CHEM ia I'm really interested in diabetes/ sugar levels and what factors could decrease its presence. I don't know exactly what to do for it, can someone advice me with things that could be related back to ib chemistry?

Personally, I think this is more EE material than IA material, and potentially more bio than chem; regardless, it sounds interesting, You could potentially look at how the presence of heavy metal ion/chirality/other chemicals affect the breakdown of sugar - could be relevant if you are doing analytical or biochem for the options. I do have to emphasise that you should look at a particular chemical pathway, rather than a whole bunch of systems present in biology.

Thank you for your suggestion, it sounds really good but would you test this by having a certain diet for patients ex.a diet that's mainly mg, then you test their sugar level using a meter? or do you  have any suggestions for how it could be tested in a lab?
