cobrakebab490
Hey guys. So I've finished my EE, my IAs.. everything except my chemistry IA which is proving to be a real pain. My topic was the percentage by mass of ammonium in different fertilizers, and using back titration, I found the percentage by mass. The experimentation was easy enough, and that is all done, and my readings are more or less what I expected. However, I am having trouble with actually writing my IA. For my results analysis, all I can write is which fertilizer is the best out of the three. Is there anything else I can write in my analysis or any possible graphs I can include? Please help, this is the only thing I have left to finish, and its due in less than 3 days. Thanks in advance, you guys! Reply
kw0573
You should also discuss in terms of chemical principals. There is the aspect of techniques, such as back titration, that you can discuss, but there is also the mechanism by which plants use ammonium. This part you should do some background research and present why exact ammonium is a nutrient. 1 Reply
cobrakebab490
Thanks Ka x Kb! Great name by the way. Is there anything else I can include? And what do you mean chemical principles? I thought that if I talked about the mechanism by which plants use ammonia, that it would go into biology territory. Also, I've checked and double-checked, but does anyone know any graphs I could include in this IA? Thanks in advance! Reply
kw0573
So the idea is that if you talk about too much biology, if wouldn't necessarily hurt you rather than simply taking up space on the page. But your IA does feel a little incomplete if you neglect all talks of absorption of ammonium. It helps in the introduction in explaining why your IA is important. If you feel that back titration is the only chemistry you can discuss (due to the topic selection), then you should give a satisfying justification of your methodoloy and why back titration was used.
