endme
So. I'm in grade 10 and this is my first and only year of pre-Ib. my class this year was awful, and its looking like I may fail french unless i get like a 95 on the exam, which I probably won't. I want to know if i can be barred from entering full IIB because of this, because I know the circumstances will be different and i will pass next year. So am i completely screwed? thanks. IB_taking_over
Pre-IB is a thing within the individual schools. It is up to the school if you can continue into IB next year. For example, at my high school, you have to have at least a B (80% or better) in order to get into IB classes junior year. If you had less than a B, you generally had to get teacher approval. 1 Reply
VeronicaG
Depends on your school for pre-IB. At my school they probably wouldn't let you take IB French just because it's harder than Grade 10 french. If it's a non-academic issue that's causing that mark, then maybe talk to the IB coordinator about your specific situation 2 Reply
Guest General ZOD
Depends on the school. At my school, you need at least 70% in every course (one can be in the 60's). You should go and ask your guidance counselor. good luck, bonne chance ! Reply
Rebecca1223
I think you should talk to your guidance councillor or IB coordinator and discuss your situation with them. Usually they would allow you to continue your IB studies Reply
