InternalBleeding
Hi! I'm a Chemistry student currently undergoing corrections for my IA draft. I just really really REALLY need help on what the points to IB grades are. For example, how many points do I need to score from the overall rubric in order to barely reach a 7? How about 6? and so on and so forth. Thanks! Edited January 11, 2017 by InternalBleeding Reply
Amina13
Depending on your level (HL or SL) the attachment shows the grade boundaries for Chemistry in 2016. Hope this helps. Reply
kw0573
Bear in mind that grade boundaries for IAs and papers are set after grade boundaries for the course. Component grade boundaries give a rough approximation of the difficulty of the IA/paper and how you need to score compared to other candidates. For example someone is looking for an overall 6 and wants a 7 on the IA, you see that in May 2016 20/24 is a 7, but it is very meaningful to aim for higher than 20 because it's the "20" (or higher) that contributes to your final grade, not the "7".
