Maxxxxxxxx
Hey guys, I wanted to ask that whether it is possible to have our IAs remarked. We have received very strange scores for our Chinese A Lit WAs as no one in our class got a 7 while at least 5 people got predicted a 7 in their WAs. Also, I missed out on a 7 in HL maths by 1%. My teacher gave my maths IA a 16/20 while the moderator lowered it to a 15/20. This 1% is pretty critical to me as a 7 in HL maths is the prerequisite for the course I would like to get into. Is it possible to have our IAs remarked? Reply
kw0573
If the class' IA average is more than 15% different from pre-moderation average, eg pre-mod average is 15/20, after mod it becomes 12/20 (75%to 60%) then the coordinator can request that the class be remoderated. Otherwise, IAs cannot be resubmitted or regraded. You can choose to have a subject (non IA) re-marked, or re-sit in the May 2017 exam, the latter you should decide by Jan 29. Re-sit fees can be refunded upon a changed final grade upon re-mark. Reply
