Math Portfolio Format and Length

Hi, so basically this is my second math portfolio that I'm doing, but I didn't do so well on the first one. Could people who scored in the 18-20 range give me some suggestions? Like what types of things do we need to include in the math portfolio? A title page, introduction, etc. or do you just start answering the questions? And if I'm using a graphing program such as Excel, do I need to explain how I got the graph? And... lol these are a lot of questions, but how long do your math portfolios end up being? Thanks in advance!

Do a search will you? A lot of threads already to answer some of your questions.

Though the links do answer SOME of my questions, it doesn't explain whether I have to explain how I graphed them (ie. I typed it up in excel, etc.) I know I have to explain my method, but does that include a step-by-step method of how I would reconstruct everything? And the rubric is very vague in my opinion, it only marks "use of technology" but offers little explanation.

Just state that the graph is from Excel. If they are so stupid as to need instructions on how to recreate the graph (wtf, if they do this, they have no lives), they shouldn't be moderating your IAs.

Are you in HL, SL or studies?

I was in SL and I didn't have a title page, intro, etc. Didn't explain how I got the graph beyond "Using a TI-84+" or "Using Microsoft Excel". I got 18.5/20 on my portfolio btw.

And for "use of technology", they just need to see that you used graphing programs/calculator, you don't need to actually explain anything.

I'm in SL and for my first math portfolio, I didn't have a title page or intro either. Have you already graduated? Because I don't know if they will adjust their marks based on that....

Yeah I'm a May 2008 graduate. I finished maths SL in May 2007 though.
