Historical Investigation help needed!

Hey!

I have to write my HI and I chose to write it on Mao Zedong´s rise to power.

Problem is, im kinda stuck on what title to pick and topic to write about

but i thought of touching on propaganda and the suppression of the counterrevolutionaries.

I have some titles but im not so sure which is why I need someone else´s opinion

on this.

Here goes:

"To what extent did Mao´s suppression of the counterrevolutionaries justify his rise to power?"

"What was the significance to Mao´s suppression of the counterrevolutionaries during his rise to

power?"

If you have anything better, please don´t be shy to share it

I can't comment on the content, but I did notice a small grammar thing.

I'd change "What was the significance to Mao´s suppression of the counterrevolutionaries during his rise to power?" to "What was the significance of Mao´s suppression of the counterrevolutionaries during his rise to power?"

Why won't the text un-bold? grr

By counterrevolutionaries, who do you mean? Nationalists? I think your second question is better than the first (but add the "of" in there, as said before). Suppression of people's rights in order to gain power involves discussion of too many human rights, and your second title will be more original in content because it will eb easier for you to come up with your own reasons for why it was significant.
