Guest -caf-
paper 3 in 2days.. im doing optics and energy extension...thought about doing mechanics extension but couldnt get my head around the formulas and theory Reply
Guest frank12345
Optics and Mechanics.I think these are the easiest to learn. Reply
Guest liquidblot
i dont like this way of "choosing" your own options =='', we have to folow the majority, and unluckily for me, i was the minority >_< Reply
Ghanem9
i didnt know mechanics was an option *gulp* well anyways we already took mechanics in first year, and this year we will be taking history of physics, the teacher had us study it over the summer...its kinda fun to know how most of it started Reply
deissi
Ghanem9: There is an option called Mechanics extension, which basically extends the basic IB mechanics... So everyone does a bit of mechanics What's history of physics like, I heard it's a lot to remember? Reply
a.barghuthi
But its questions are gauranteed..we have history of physics and optics Reply
ezex
We chose the FUNNEST ones...quantum physics and relativity and particle physics Reply
Solarstorm
There is one Biology and one Chemistry, but how could we forget Physics?I am wishing to choose from Astrophysics, Particle Physics and Relativity. It is hard to decide. What options have you chosen or going to choose? and what do you think of them? Reply
cereja
Last year we only had time to learn the options Mechanics and Optics. They were pretty easy - as in they won't kill you. They are mostly graphs and equations, so there isn't as much memorizing as the other options. Reply
KLSmash
We're doing Sight and Waves, and Quantum & Nuclear. I'd rather do Digital Technology and Communications. :/ Edited September 16, 2008 by KLSmash Reply
Stereoisomer
Well, I wouldn't have to worry about it coz APPARENTLY ( I heard from a Year 13) the school choose them for us.But If i get to choose, I really really wanna do Biomedical Physics.. Coz I want to do Biomedicine/Medicine in Uni.. I reckon It sounds soo cool. Reply
Solaris
If you get to choose the options by your own, then you are very lucky. We do not have the option of choosing the options by our own.If i had the choice then i would choose Particle Physics and Astrophysics. Reply

eskimotaro
I think we are doing particle physics. I don't know much about any of the three so I can't really complain. But apparantly astrophysics is like the topic everyone is talking about now, so I guess there'd be a lot of interesting theories and stuffs, I would imagine astrophysics being more theory based than the rest. Eyas
Astro physics and medical physics here Reply
Anonymouser
We're doing Relativity and Astrophysics. (I'm not too sure about the Astrophysics but I think so.) Reply
daniel6
Astrophysics: Because astronomy+physics sounds really cool to meParticle physics: I like particle sciences. Reply
Eyas
Its a shame though. I'm really interested in particle physics and relativity as well.. wierd how I want ALL physics options if I could.. yet NO chemistry options at all interest me.. Anonymouser
I was wrong, we're doing Electromagnetism not Astrophysics. Although I'd like Astro more. =( Haha Eyas same here, I swear lol. I'm good at chem, used to score always high nineties but I never really liked the subject, maybe it was because of my previous teacher. Reply
Eyas
Hehe yeah. I'm still good at chem though, very good. Just not interested in ANY option in there at all! Reply
