I smoke cigarettes when I feel stressed, either that or go for a run. If the going gets tough, a casual dinner with cigar and scotch always hits the spot. Sometimes you just need to forget that you do IB.

I eat when I'm stressed. Hahaha. Not a good habit but it does help me with all the works. If not, I'll go to my friends and force them to spill all the current gossips in our college. Hahaha..

Music is definitely something I love to do. I'm in a band so a few gigs here and there are always welcome (and good for CAS too!) I love to look up random things on Wikipedia. It honestly makes my time fly by. My school production is on next week so that's something which is keeping my mind off school work, so it can be both stressful and relaxing at the same time :panic: I tend to try and keep off Facebook and MSN during school nights...they just make me even more addicted to them and then I don't log off until bedtime

Well, i'm not on IB yet.. but I usually just brew a cup of cinnamon tea, go on YouTube, and listen to nature sounds of rain and thunder and pretend that its going on outside. (I also dim the lights).

Or.. I just lay in bed and listen to Enya or any New Age music or Meditation.

Sounds really calming. Wish I could meditate, I think I'd need it.

I do yoga or go for a run. Anything that physically releases the stress. Or I lay on the beach and listen to music, depends on the weather.

I go swimming, and swim 30 laps.
It calms my brain, and gets me thinking about swimming and water, rather than IB.
I even go during study weeks, I find that it really helps.

I draw, or paint, or I write poems, or I just sit at the piano and play whatever (or sing whatever). Some of my best songs come from when I want to just take a break from work and I just... play.

But I wanna try meditation or yoga... it sounds sooo relaxing!!!

I just watch a max. of an hour of television. Sometimes I just go to the YMCA and exercise (workout, badminton). Other times, I just get some work done.

But, then you either:

a) break the wall
b) dent the wall
c) hurt your hand really badly
d) both a and c
e) both b and c

All have negative outcomes?

Going for a run always helps, it helps you feel more fresh- plus you feel better by a bit of excersize that benefits your health as well.

I'm in china (not Asian though, love the culture though) so to decompress I usually get a Chinese massage, or a Swedish massage, or get my Swedish bf to come up to my place to hang out. Or I read a book...it tIes my mind someplace else, especially if it's fiction and you can be in a fantasy world. Mint tea will calm your mind, chamomille tea will settle upset stomachs, nervousness and growing pains, chai....well I just like chai.

I don't want to hurt myself... so I punch hard into my bed or pillow.
I might go play computer games
Take a lot of showers
