History EE - Source Finding for French Philosophes

Hey guys,

I'm doing my EE in History, about how the ideas of the French philosophes influence the intellectual origins of the American Revolution. Basically, how the ideas of Rousseau, Montesquieu and Voltaire influenced the revolutionary thinkers in America, in terms of new ideas and implementation about republicanism, separation of state and church etc.

However, I was wondering what some good sources would be? I would prefer to have primary sources (e.g. the Social Contract from Rousseau), but I can't specify any that would be particularly helpful for my topic for the other two thinkers, and any secondary analysis writing that anyone has up their sleeves is also welcome.

Also, would including the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence as primary sources be a good idea?

Thanks
