The only energy "drink" I use is 5-hour energy. It's only takes a sip or two to down the capsule lol.
I honestly stopped drinking energy drinks around 4 years ago in middle school. Energy drinks taste like caustic chemicals to me.
Although, I have come across some really good ones every once in a while lol.
When I pull all nighters, stress and the fear of failure keep me awake.
My thoughts on this exactly! I'd say IB is mainly hard if you make it so for yourself (and have bad time management skills). I've always thought that talking about the difficulty of IB is some kind of an inside joke among students - as you mentioned, some HL Sciences or Maths are a bit different, but in general it's hard to see how someone could have a nervous breakdown or something because of the programme.
Hi, I just started this investigation today, but I'm a bit confused. I've been experimenting with numbers 5 and 6, using Vieta's Theorem.
As many have, I find that D=0 for powers greater than 2 when you intersect the polynomial with a straight line, and I get a different answer with quadratics (which is correct from what I've gathered).
Is it sufficient for me to prove that D=0 using Vieta's Theorem, or do I need to go further than that. Am I going in the right direction? Can someone guide me into the right direction?

Yes, you can use Vieta's Theorem to prove that D=0 when a cubic intersects 2 linears. You can even prove the value of D for a quadratic intersecting 2 linears. But you need one more proof. Think about it, you have linear, quadratic and cubic, what other combination are you missing?
