Ok, first you don't know that you're getting a 1 in Maths.
Second, I don't know if anyone can tell you for definite what a uni will or will not do. The only way is to ask them, but no, you should not ask now. I think right now, just focus on the rest of your exams and worry about it later, when marks come out and you know for sure. What uni is this?

#55838 Visual Arts EE - off topic or not?

No, the comparison of storylines and so on is not appropriate for Visual Arts. Visual Arts EE's should focus on things like influence of ____ on _____ , how an artist uses ____ (insert technique/item here, like gold/colour/etching) in his work or the artistic significance of certain items in certain cultures. You can cmpare two artist's works, but there has to be a point of comparison (e.g. similarities in architectural style). A poor research question would simply state "Similarities between ____ and ____". A more developed one would be "Architectural and structural simlarities between ____ and _____".
You may, however, be able to change your question to make it better. If you cut out the storyline part and change it to something like "In what ways have Studio Ghibli and Disney films influenced each other?", that might work. If you could add in an artistic element, such as "In what ways have Studio Ghibli and Disney films influenced each other, specifically with the use of ____ (insert cinematic technique here). There are examples of EE quetsions in the EE guide such as "African influences on Henry Moore" and "To what extent has transcultural experience influenced _____'s work?", so I think you need to add in a cinematic technique in there to make it less vague and more focused. When comparing them, don't talkl about storyline unless it has to do with visual arts (e.g. how the sequence of the storyline is manipulated with frame changes or something similar).

#42925 Visual Art Interview

The thing with Arts interviews is that you can't know what makes the examiner happy, as you don't even know who it is (in most cases, that is). I guess that if you reveal that you've actually learned something from the course and that you've 'evolved' you should do fine. However, one thing you should remember is to act naturally. In my experience (as my art interview already passed) the examiner will sort of lead the interview: he/she will ask you some broad questions for you to be able to expand on your experience during the course. The important thing is that you don't need to 'impress' the examiner, just be yourself, that will be enough. As to what to talk about, just refer to any piece or part of your investigation that you consider relevant when you're talking about something. For example, my examiner asked me something along the lines of 'what pieces do you consider to be the most representative of your investigation?', so I referred to the ones that I considered the most representative and also talked about the things I had focused on while working on them. Just relax; confidence is the key (and since you're the artist, you should feel pretty confident). After all, the examiner will have already read your IWB and seen your art, he/she just wants to see if you've learned something and to understand the way you feel towards art and your theme.
