WOW love the topic, just make sure it stays in History and doesn't wander into politics too much.

Hello once again good people.

Okay, so I want to do my EE on something to do with Berlin, probably the wall, because I'm visiting it in a few weeks and because we're doing the Cold War in class for history.
Although I'm not sure what exactly to do it on. Could I just do "Why was the wall built?" Or "Why did the Soviet Union build the wall" Or something along those lines. To me it seems nice and specific but too simple.

Any feedback or suggestions are appreciated, if the topic is alright (it probably isn't :( ) or if I find a good one is there anything in Berlin I should definitely take a look at? Any museums or anything I should visit?

Hi
If you want info on the Berlin Wall when you are in Berlin I would suggest going as far as Potsdam and taking the tour, it goes over all the history of the city but the "wall" era is really brought home when looking at it from the other side.
Also the Topography of Terrors is brilliant, covers the cold war as well, don't forget Checkpoint Charlie museum a bit touristy but interesting.
If you can get away from the centre of Berlin and walk around there are plenty of places where the wall crossed roads, communities etc. and these are still visible, look for when the signs say you are going to Brandenburg ( it surrounds Berlin). I suggest you get the 623 bus it crosses the wall just south of Zehlendorf heading to Stahnsdorf, but you have to watch for the sign when you are leaving Berlin City limits.
Hope this helps a bit.

I used to live in the Isle of Man and at school we learned Manx. It's not really spoken as a mother tongue but it always looks good if you know a few phrases :)
