#77915 EE Help reforming question

Yes, you definitely need to narrow it down if you want to actually treat the topic in depth. In addition to what JoeGuff said I thought you could maybe narrow it down to a specific - maybe a smaller - company and see how their animated films have changed.

I wouldn't focus on a certain time period, unless you really wanted to. I would see setting it during a time period possibly hindering what you can do with your essay, unless you find a time period that was very active.
Also, narrowing your topic down to a certain field of animation couldn't hurt. You could either focus on how computer assisted animation brought about movies like Avatar, and other CG movies. Or, you could focus on more "cartoonish" animation, such as Pokemon.
If it turns out that you come out below word count by just focusing on a certain genre of computer animation, you can always just widen your focus by including more areas.
Good luck on your essay. :blum:

#77801 TOK Structure help!

Hey!
I'm doing the same topic... what my teacher told me was to foccus my essay on explaining the functions of the arts, for example, in the past art used to be a reflection of the reality, like the portraits but that changes when the camera appears.
Is art a lie? Isn't it the reflection of the truth beneath a pearson? How does graffitis help people to understand a global context? Or how a simple expains how a pearson feels?
Good luck with it!
(or change the topic fast) i'm having like the hardest time ever doing this topic...

Hi,
So basically I am writing my TOK essay on the 8th topic "Art is a lie that brings us nearer to the truth. Pablo Picasso. Evaluate this claim in relation to a specific art form"

I just wanted to know the basics of a TOK essay. How many areas of knowledge to I need to include and how many ways of knowing.

I know this is a very stupid question, but I could REALLY use your help as i am literally flunking TOK.

THANK YOU!

Hey - these links may or may not help.

From my experience, the things that a lot of people tend to forget are counterclaims and the knower's perspective. You need to have your own experiences in there.

Good luck!
