Hey there, 24 hours definitely passed for paper 1, and I will just wait, but Paper 1 was just pure hell. Agree? I answered 1 and 3. I would have answered 2 cause it was dead easy, but I was not really confident with market failure, just yet.

Hey! How did you guys find the HL paper 1 and 2 from TZ1? I thought paper 1 was pretty good and paper two was alright as well! I did questions 6 and 9, anyone else do those?

Finally the 24hrs are up; I've been dying to ask you guys your opinion on paper 3. I was counting on it to be easy, to make up for my massacre in paper 2, but I was let down. Am I the only one who found Astrophysics super-duper hard? It was nothing like the past papers! I also did medical physics, which was okay apart from the x-ray question, got really confused.

Hi everyone , In our school we have now mock exams, and the teacher uses the papers from real examinations of this year. I am asking for a help in listing as many topic on this papers as it is possible. We did already paper 1 upon the Ruhr occupation. So far I noticed that on paper 2 there were such questions : the peace conferences and crisis of 1929 as the causes of outbreak of IWW the Stalin's raise to power and on paper 3: different opinions over Treaty of Versailles Hitler's foreign policy Mussolini's gain to power Alliance system I am especially curious about question on French Revolution and Napoleon , as they are my favourite ones, anyone remembers ? Thanks f…

So, that time has come when I'm going to be doing my last few papers, and am starting to think about grade boundaries for each subject. What do you guys think the boundary for economics will be? If I remember correctly, Paper 1 was average/tricky, Paper 2 was pretty good, and Paper 3 was a breeze. I am guessing the boundary for a 7 will be around 78% overall.

Much better than paper 1, I think. But I just had a doubt about the first question (the dairy company). For the gearing ratio, the 24 million had to be added to the original capital employed of 45 million right? So the ratio becomes 24 million (loan) divided by 69 million (45 + 24) right? Plus, the investment appraisal had to be done on 24 million right? (because the entire acquisition was funded by the loan)

How did you guys find it? I'm really happy with my performance Think I got a 7. Only thing that bugged me is how much genetics they included in paper 1 and in paper 2! I didnt study that topic really well. But overall I found both papers easy. Which questions did you do in section B? I did Q6 and Q7.

How did everyone find it and which options did you do? We were all taught only Human biochem and Modern analytical at our college, and being a physicist I detested revising biochem as you had to learn SO MUCH! Consequently I had no idea what an iodine number was, but actually it wasn't too bad. Analytical had some weird questions in it such as the why do compounds with C double bonds absorb IR radiation, just blabbered on about pi bonds abit although i swear in reality it is due to molecular changes in polarity, but couldn't see how to relate the two! The H NMR one I found slightly odd as well because it seemed like none of those circled H environments should have produce…

What options did you choose guys? I picked D and E (Medicines and Drugs and Environmental). I think it was pretty easy, the only doubt was in one of the last questions of option E, about the ionic equation for Hg and hydrogen sulfide, but managed to do it.

How'd you guys find it? I though it was a very easy paper, with the exception of the last part of the final question (smth about finding the value of x that has the highest probability). Oh and I was panicking in question 2 when they didn't give lambda, then I realized it could be calculated

Hey guys, how did you find the Series and Differential Equations paper 3?! It was amazing in my opinion. The best out of all three math papers. There wasn't even one question where a convergence test was needed apart from the interval and radius of convergence one. The only one I definitely lost marks on was the one with the summation from 1 to infinity of (n^2 * x^n)/(2^n), when it said find the sum of the series given that x= -0.1. Did anyone manage that?

How did everyone find it? I think it was a ridiculously easy Paper for a Paper 3 (felt like a Math SL paper compared to the May/November 2012 papers!) Even the Number 5 proof question was straight-forward this time and the equivalence classes were solvable by trial and error as well! I know for sure I got parts of the inverse function question wrong, as I copied the quadratic and wrote plus instead of minus once in the given formula and got wrong domains for the the quadratic inverse as a result... But should still get most marks for that question. Personally expecting 50+ as relative grade boundaries for a 7 this year. Really hope it is much lower though! Did anyone else…

Hi all, i hope you all did good on ur exam. What did you think about the questions? I found section A and B easy, while sec C i little hard, especially the 12 marks question. And in the 9 marks question, do you use the data from the "total" or just the 5th year? That confused me alot although i chose the 5th year because it highlighted the word ONLY. And when i raed that anna got hit, i felt i little bit of joy inside me hahaa

Thoughts? Was alright for me, did question 6 on P2 Section B. Section A on P2 was very manageable. Bit of debate in my class on the final question, the one on precision and accuracy. I said it was both, but I'm unsure given how subjective a question it was.

Hey guys. Discussion about Paper 1! I think all the questions were pretty straightforward. I found it weird, though, that it was all theory, and no Java whatsoever! I'm guessing they kind of fused this exam with the new syllabus. I only found the boolean expression quite ridiculous. I don't know why they felt compelled to write it in such a way. I could figure out which symbols were AND, OR and NOT, but that way of expressing it definitely wasn't in the syllabus. My teacher told me that they shouldn't have written it like that, as well. I was also wondering what you guys responded with to the first question? It asked about two methods of direct entry. I said entry from se…

How did you guys find paper 2? I think it was harder than the previous years, but the questions were manageable. However, since they were much harder than usual, they took twice the time I usually need to work them out. So I ended up leaving 2 questions out in section A - the sequences question and probability. The trigonometry question was nasty - took me 20 minutes to finally work it out - hopefully I got the right value of r (approx 6cm?) The vectors question in section B was a gift, even Q10 was fairly easy except for the last sub-question. Then since I suck at probability, Q9 was my pitfall. Probably lost most of those 15 marks

How did you find the exam ? Paper 1 was easy, but there were two strange questions ... The one in the definition of Avogado´s number was really weird and there was one about hydrogen bonding which was mistyped (the dipole-dipole option) Anyways ... Paper 2 was also easy ... In part B I chose the question on energetics and equilibrum ... I think I got 620 or something like that for the first part of the question .... In part A, I couldn´t manage to calculate the molar mass of the acid. And the question about electricity applied to sodium and sodium chloride was really weird (did they asked for the chemical reaction when electricity is applied to sodium and to sodium chlori…

Im assuming we're allowed to discuss, when the moderator allows this thread. Let's discuss paper 2. I found the paper quite nice tbh, I did really well even though some questions were difficult. I might even score a full 120 if I'm lucky! Though, I have two confusions, which bother me quite a lot. For the question 10, finding the velocity, it was given that acceleration was (60-v)/40, so integrating both sides in respect to t gave the expression: -ln|60-v|=t/40+c Now we knew that initially the car was at rest so at t=0, v=0 giving c=-ln60. We have: -ln|60-v|=t/40-ln60 Now at t=30 we have -ln|60-v|=3/4-ln60 giving |60-v|=e^(ln60-3/4) This gave two results v=31.7 and v=88.3…

How do you feel about DT this year? P1 was really difficult, so many questions with 2 or 3 possible answers. I have no idea what will get, it can be 3 or 7 if you ask me. The last set of questions about the can opener were so confusing that i did almost all of them by pure luck. P2 is always a mystery for me. Seriously, when i look at the markschemes it always turns out that the correct answer is extremely stupid and simple that i would never think of it.

Hello! The standard time allocated for ITGS SL Paper 1 is 1h 45m. However due to a mistake in the school exam management, we were allocated 1h and 15min, thus the time was cut shorter by a whole of 30 minutes. These 30 minutes would have been very valuable to me - I barely managed to sloppily answer all the required questions. Of course I realized of this error right after the exam. The best case scenario would have been, if I had informed the invigilator of this mistake during the exam. Anyway, you can't change the past. But I would like to know now, what should I expect? What will be the consequences? Will I get extra marks for writing the exam in 30 minutes less than …

Hey guys, I had a question. So during my Computer Science exam, I was writing down an answer to one of the parts of a question. It's one of those subjects where you discover additional parts of an answer as you work it out. So, my answer got pretty untidy, so I restarted that part of the question on the next page of the answer booklet. I wrote down (See next page->) in my first attempt. However, I forgot to cross my first attempt out. So, I know in Math that if an examiner is presented two workings, he should mark the first. In this case however: a) It was a different subject b) My second answer was nearly identical to the first, only expanded a little bit and fully c…

Hi all, i just wanted to ask how was the exponential question needed to be done? I mean we all did it differantly, some proved that it was inversly proportional, while others used [ Y1(square) / x1 should equal Y2( square) / x2 ] Personally, i have solved each and every measurement question ranging from 2007 - 2012, and never have i ever encountered exponential, i think the IB should not have used this question, and will expect a very large proportion of people missing those 4 marks.

Okay! So now it has been 24 hours (actually a bit more) since I wrote the exam paper and I am now free to discuss the exam freely What is your thought about the paper? I found it quite, hard, to be honest... or at least the prose... I have been analysing the older English A1s and just one A2 and I can say that this year's exam at least was far more closer to the A2 one. You may ask me, doesn't it make it easier? Well, perhaps, but the language was far less complicated in A2 and A1 and so I found it harder to discuss diction as it was more simplified This all in all makes it harder to raise topics about structure, and other things as there is less variability. However, I…

Hi. I am after maths HL exams... And during pap 2 I had following incident... I gave my texas calculator 2 days before exam to prepare it to exam... Then, I went to pap 2 exam, started to calculate first excercise... and I needed to use graph function to obtain result. But, function invalid, error or sth like this appeared. I thought that maybe I had made a mistake earlier, so I went to another excercises... and in one of them, I wanted to use graphs again... and again invalid. I realised that maybe something is wrong with calculator, I tried to obtain any simply function like 2x... and again error. I reported it to teacher who watched an exam... and he gave me another c…

So how'd you find the paper 1 and 2 exams? TZ1: I thought paper 1 was alright, my OPVL's could have been better but one hour was not enough! One of the sources was from a book we read in history class this year, nice surprise. Paper 2: I did questions 1 (WWI Causes) and 28 (Truman's contributions to Cold War).
