Help my friends, I am currently entering the first year of the IB diploma and have chosen the following as my subjects: Math AA HL Biology HL Chem HL Italian B SL History SL English Lang Lit SL I like all these subjects, and I am not bad at any of them. However, I have heard repeatedly that this is pretty much suicide(Difficulty wise and generally studying wise), so I am wondering if I should change it. I am trying to aim for at least a 38 out of 42 (without extra points). And it is recommended by the uni I want to attend that I have a HL in Math (IA is not available in my school), a HL in science, and a HL in English…

Hi so I am going into pre-IB grade 10 in late August 2018 and I was wondering if someone wanted to study over Skype or Discord (although I would have to text because I usually can't video call) mainly grade 10 pre-IB, and IB year 1 and 2 topics. I would mainly like to study science and mathematics but any other courses are welcome (I am horrible at french btw). I am particularly interested in someone who is at or 1 higher my grade level, and also who is from either Canada or the US (I am from Ontario, Canada) so the course material will be similar. I am not saying these are requirements but I think it would be beneficial. So, if you are interested, let me know! …

I just pass IB. And I am looking for someone who wants a Revision Village Account. You will have access to all the subjects and all levels. Including math, chem, phy and bio. The RV is selling it out for roughly $650. But I’m reselling it for $300. If anyone is interested please dm below. Prices are negotiable. And if the candidate is from India it will be preferred.

Heyooo so I’m selling my gold RV account if anybody is interested It has everything - maths, biology, physics, chemistry… as i bought it a few years ago. I’m a m23 graduate and honestly my general experience with it: It helped me so much with maths AA SL - I got a 7 on the exams. It’s great for practice and also the mock examinations are top notch for all subjects tbh. I also used it for biology HL and chemistry SL practice.

Hey you guys, so i got my results yesterday, and i was absoutely gobsmacked.. because i did revise long and hard for them but they came out really rubbish. i'm not going to post what i got on here, because it was really REALLY bad. i did not get my firm or conditional offer for pharmacy, (through UCAS) as i was 5 points off my entry requirements. do you think the university may still accept me? or do you reckon i get some of my papers remarked? because apparently when you get your papers remarked, they could be brought down aswell as up, but i doubt my papers could get any lower to be honest. what do you think?

Hello everyone. I have just received my IB results, and I was not rewarded the DP diploma due to my lack of points in my HL subjects. I am currently 1 point away from a 4 in Physics, and that's the key for me to pass right now (since I have 11 points for all my HL subjects and the minimum for the HL subjects is 12 points) Do you think it's worth it to request for a remark in this case? Thank you for helping me out! PS: I need this pass since my university will need me to provide the DP certificate.

Just received IBDP results of MAY'23 exams. I received 6 in my English Literature course. But I need a 7 to meet the university requirements. The results also revealed that I'm short by 4 points to increase my grade. Do you suggest I opt for remarking?

hi so I have just finished my gcses and im taking IB next year, but I want to look ahead to see the details of what is studied in each subject. I looked on the IB website, but the syllabus outline is very vague. At gcse, every exam board produces specifications with different points outlining EXACTLY what you need to know, but from what I could find, for IB if is much more brief i.e. for languages it only has recommended topics within themes as opposed to a specific vocab list and grammar list. For the sciences it has topics (e.g. kinematics for physics), but not points WITHIN topics (at gcse it would say kinematics as the general heading and then detail what you need to …

Hello there, While writing my math P1 this year, I finished question 7 on the first page of the answer booklet but was a little too concentrated, so I accidentally flipped straight to the last page of the booklet to write question 8. I didn't realize the mistake until I had finished the question so I didn’t want to copy the whole thing to the right page. I wrote a note in a box on the first page indicating where the examiner could find each of the questions since they were out of order; I thought I made it pretty obvious but you never know. I had forgotten about this until now since results come out soon and I started panicking suddenly that the examiner might have …

Is IB computer science HL a lot of theory regurgitation for the exams? For those who have taken GCSE Computer Science could you compare the level of theory I need to memorise? I'm alright with the programming but its the theory side that doesn't look too sunny.

I come from the German system, which is quite demanding. Last September I decided to do my A Levels instead and have been extremely bored by the little amount of work I have to do. I'm getting As in both mocks and official examinations and need a new challenge in life. Would it be possible to complete the IB Diploma Programme in one year, considering that I wouldn't have to study for my HL subjects if I am already taking them as my A Levels? I would only have to focus on my SL subjects and TOK/EE/CAS. Thanks

When not succeeding to pass an IB exam, this means you would not be able to get in to university. The problem for me is, as it follows; all universities that I have applied to rejected me. Now that gave a useless feeling, a feeling of ultimate depression. Also I have not discussed this with anyone- but would suicide help to solve the problem? Revision is not going well at all- takes incredibly a long time to work through the past papers. I considering to get out of this misery. My talent is in art however my goal was to study in university, and gain a proper job. Not art. Having discussed this with my parents they would never understand. I strongly believe I am prepared a…

Hello! I’m a student planing my IB subjects as I am starting that this year. I hope to get into one of the top universities if I can in the uk and I was wondering if my subjects would be seen soft as universities have specific preferences. Mostly because a Spanish ab initio is seen as the easiest second language and most prefer economics over business. I’m hoping to go into one of natural sciences, cognitive science, neuroscience, or computer science and I plan to take: English A Lit HL Spanish ab initio Business management HL Biology HL Math HL Chemistry SL Thank you!

I'm currently a Grade 12 High School student in the Czech Republic, and the Czech Upper Secondary School system usually lasts 4 years (graduation - Grade 13). Right now, I have 2 options: I could move to Canada and graduate in Canada (the academic year 2023/2024.) Or the second option is to repeat another year of high school and attend the IB programme in Denmark. I plan to study for a bachelor's degree at top universities in the EU, e.g., the Netherlands (UoA, Utrecht University, Erasmus University of Rotterdam...) or Denmark (Copenhagen Business School, Aarhus University...) I just don't know whether I should add an extra year of HS because I feel I will …

I just want to share the reality that is happening at Australian International School Dhaka, Bangladesh. This is so unfortunate to find out that the mentioned school is a prestigious IB World School in Bangladesh where the MYP coordinator is not competent enough to conduct her activities at school by showing negative attitudes towards the parents and supporting a teacher who is not capable enough to conduct classes as well. The coordinator is very much biased towards the science teacher who is having chemistry background and do teaches Physics at the 9th class where she is not being able to even teach the very basic issues. We the parents have complained again and again b…

hi all, i am currently a year 11 student attending an international school in asia. as such, i am currently preparing to sit my igcse exams in 2023 and beginning the process of selecting ib options. for some context, i am still unsure of what i want to pursue in my post-secondary education. my two main potential routes are classical music (i come from a musical family and play both classical piano and violin at a diploma level), and an undecided area of study in the humanities/social sciences (my main interests include economics, international relations/geopolitics, etc. - i have also considered a ppe (or equivalent) degree as well as law). i have also recentl…

Hi all, I'm thinking of doing my Math IA (I take Applications and Interpretations at the standard level) on the correlation between two factors, using Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Chi-Squared Test and perhaps as an extension comparing the precision between these two methods. Is this too simple, or can I still score well (as in a 6/7) in the mathematical understanding aspect? Cheers.

Hi guys, I was just wondering if there's anybody with the same problem as me. I just came to another country from Russia and was not expecting that at all, but anyway i got to IB, started my lessons and I was shocked at how the whole process of teaching is different. It feels like nobody's teaching us, but we must do it ourselves. Maybe somebody from countries near Russia, which I know has the same process of studying and teaching as there, faced the same problem as me? How did u handle it, taking to the point the speed of the whole IB and how fast are u passing the topics?

Hi Y'all, I'm wanting to do my History IA on the berlin wall because I'm interested in the German culture. I don't really know much about the topic at the moment to create a proper question to make an analysis. But with the research i have done im interested in how the nation made agreements and or treaties to "allow" the wall to be brought up and how it affected the civilians in Germany. so my struggle is to create a question to make it sound semi solid. Maybe the idea of "The effect of the berlin wall during 1958-1961 on societal and geopolitical standards" any ideas? :) thank you for whoever helps

So if I start now will they give me good ones? Overall what do u think bout it? Also the thing is technically I can drop phys and c…

I heard that English B has more disadvantages compare to English A SL... what should I do?
