5. I found a better series the other day! I went to Chapters to buy Eclipse (it was the only book I did not have) and I stumbled upon the House of Night books. I bought the first one, Marked and the 3rd, Chosen. I couldn't find the 2nd and these books are pure entertainment (also vampire books). But, like Twilight, not book literature.
6. I'm really interested in doing Model United Nations when I begin high school next year, but where i'm going to high school next year does not have a MUN club and I wish to create one. I was wondering if anyone knew how to begin a club? I did some research and found a really good website, but I need some advice.
7. i perfer Lindor. Rocher is not as good as lindor in my opinion.
8. so 32 then! But the OSSD requires you to complete certain courses in order to get a credit, so IB students skip those requirements and obtain the 30+ credits by taking coureses from the 6 groups + TOK.
9. Is this possible? I thought you couldn't take more then 4 and at least 3 courses at HL. Wow, your friend must be something to be taking 6 HL!
10. I haven't started at my high school yet because I have yet to graduate grade 8, but i got my acceptance a few days ago and I think that my hihg school doesn't consider IB students elite because in grade 9 and 10, you mingle with the regular kids for you two elective courses, but apprently there was some 'IB only christmas dance' held by the students. Personaly, I don't think IB student's are elitists because IB kids are not special, but some think IB kids are becuase IB students have it harder in their opinion.
11. Apperntly many people believe that the world will end in 2012 because an Aztec calender ends at 2012. This calender is said to have succesfly predicted many catastrophies such as 911 which happened hundreds of years after the aztecs that created this calender died out. I find this rediculous and believe that the world will not end in 2012. Maybe these people one day said 'let's take a break and well, decided never to finish it or died out before finishing it. Honestly, I think its trash that the world will end in 2012. People have been saying the world will end in 2000, etc and well we're still here so they were wrong. I think this is just another false whim, and besides the Earth cannot die a year before i graduate!
12.
Each SL course gives you two credits, and each HL course gives you three credits. In grade 11 you do certain SL subjects for both semesters, and in grade 12 you do all your HL subjects for both semesters. You don't do anything other than your IB courses. If you need to know anything more specific than that, ask your school because the structure of the program varies slightly between different schools.
so basically, 8 credits in 9+10 to give you 16, then 3 SL courses give you 6 credits and 3 HL courses give you 9 credits, so then you get the OSSD with 31 credits then. Thanks guys.
13. kman, lol its not a snow day for everyone in Ontario =( Schools were still open in the TSDB. I love forero rocher too! I think people who dislike the nut/chocolate combo are the ones who hate them.
14. I'm a bit confused. If you take the IB in Ontario, you graudate with the diploma and the OSSD (Ontario high school diploma). In order to get the OSSD, you need to get 30 credits, but how is this done if you only are suppose to take 6 courses in IB1 and IB2? In grade 9 and 10 i'm taking 8 courses, so by grade 10 I have 16 credits, but do you take an additional 2 courses alongside the 6 at IB level in IB1 and IB2 to get the 30 credits you need for the OSSD?
