  1. Every major paragraph, or more paragraphs that are addressing the same subject, should have subheadings. Same goes for introduction and conclusion. Abstract goes before content page. Abstact, introduction and conclusion have to consist of research question in bold. Thus, your content page will consist of introducion, subheadings, conclusion, bibliography in alphabetical order and possible appendices. Good luck!

I think sometime in November, but I'm not so sure. We actually have a meeting tomorrow so we'll see.

How come you guys have hours? My school has certain number of activities, like at least 3 per letter... Isn't IB supposed to be the same everywhere? 3 per letter? how does that work? i also thought it's the same for everyone, but the same as mine we've got this form where the supervisor writes an approximate number of hours for a particular activity.. dunno if it's the same for you guys :/ Yes we do too. We have reflection forms you write dates and hours spent doing the activity, and at least 3 for creativity, at least 3 for action and at least 3 for service, but hours are not that important. oh, nice.. we have to post our reflections on blogs.. and you know what, my CAS coordinator told me that i can get service hours by writing and helping out prepare a play for the Middle years programme guys.. the play is on the eradication of poverty,, so that and other stuff, which i will help out in, can get me some hours That is awesome! You also can give lectures of your first language to some foreingers if you have any in your class or your environment. That will give you a lot of hours, plus can be your three month project, which is also recquired to have. I did the same thing, my friend from Malasiya taught me Malay. She got service and three month, I got creativity and three month project. that's a good idea. i had planned to teach my B&M teacher french even though french isn't my first language.. but that didn't work out because of our schedules..but what if i teach a language that the supervisor doesn't know? would that still count? As far as I know it does. But, I'd recommend teaching your fellow IBer, so you can benefit from each other, you get CAS he/she gets CAS. ))) yeah that's what i thought.. and it's convenient doing it with a friend.. but my main worry was how will their progress be monitored.. let's say i teach my friend swahili but nobody in my school speaks it, how will i get hours that way? For my CAS coordinator it's enough that they do a test and you grade them and they have to be able to write few basic sentences and read them and know the meaning and some pictures of you actually working on something... that's it, it's not really like you can learn much in three months

    Retake, which grade counts?

I've heard otherwise. The highest grade is what counts, and this apply for all the IB classes as far as I know. There are already quite a few topics on retakes, and all of them seem to end with that it's the highest grade that ends up counting: http://www.ibsurviva...=+retake +grade http://www.ibsurviva...ade#entry168344 http://www.ibsurviva...ade#entry115037 I was informed otherwise. Sorry for false info then. ))

Starting IB next year, any advice on my courses?

Not necessarily. Most IB schools do not have a huge variety of subjects and oftentimes half of them are picked for you (as was in the case at my school). And at the IB school in the city next to mine, they only offer biology for Group 4. If you want to go to med school or pharmacy school or something like that, you can't just say "oh biology and chemistry is hard I'm just going to take ESS lol." You are definately right, did not consider all the options. But he didn't say anything about being interested to sudy things related to Bio and Chem, otherwise I would surely suggest taking both of these at HL. )))

Starting IB next year, any advice on my courses?

Well, if someone wants to apply to study some scientific subject, they kinda have no choice but to choose either, or both, of those... There are bunch of other opition to choose for from Science group, depending on school that he/she attends. Considering the fact that Bobby Tsankov is from Canada, I bet they must have huge variety of options. ))) Yeah, but if you want to study medicine/biochemistry or something like that, no one is gonna be impressed by your ESS HL... Sure, but he didn't state that he wants to study anything related to that...

Starting IB next year, any advice on my courses?

I would definately stay away from Biology and Chemistry HL,these two have the lowest grades average in the world. Oh and yes, they are very hard as I hear from my friends who take it. Good luck!
