    Past Papers

Hello, I was wondering if we can exchange past papers? I really really urgently need the May and Nov 2013 SL papers, and I can provide you with May and/or Nov 2009 until 2011! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
  2. I have posted a similar post, but it sank somewhere on this website, so I am posting another post. I BEAR GREAT NEWS! So I talked to my CAS supervisor about this idea I had, but with a little twist. It is very simple and you can do it easily and at the same time it would count as an international collaborative CAS project for you. So the idea is that each person or a group of IB students from different countries would make two short videos. The first you would shoot a video talking about a major problem in your country. Just grab your camera, find a nice background, and discuss the problem! You can also go out and take live pictures! For example, my country which is Saudi Arabia has a conflict in social statuses. There is a huge gap between the rich and the poor, because here a middle class does not really exist. You are either rich or extremely poor. No shades of grey. That would be one problem. Please understand that by making a video about a conflict in your country does not mean that you hate it or that you are ridiculing it. It is the opposite completely. This is because the second video will be about proposed feasible solutions to the problem. Therefore you are trying to help it become better. Which is kind of the whole point of IB, becoming "well-rounded global citizens and students!" I cannot believe I just said that, but you know IB brainwashes you. ANYWAYS, continuing.. You can leave your emails or a method of contact here and I will send you an outline or a plan of the project as soon as it is finalized! ALSO, to make things exciting, my friend's father works in the UN (United Nations) and we can actually show them the video and you never know where it will take us, maybe it will cause a difference or spark a chain of action. THIS IS EXCITING! AND I WANT YOU GUYS TO GET INVOLVED AND SPREAD THE WORD! Shall I mail you all free Redbulls to get you hyped up with me about this? Trust me I'd do it! Your names will be mentioned in the end of the video of course, so you will be famous as well haha So it is a win-win situation! ANY IB STUDENT CAN PARTICIPATE! Whether you are 80 IB students in your school or just one. Each video that any of you worked on will be included, so BE CREATIVE PEOPLE! It is not time consuming! Movie maker is an easy apple pie! I'll help you out if you want! SO YOU IN? P.S. please do not be negative and say you won't be able to make it blah blah blah okay? I appreciate your concern but seriously save your opinion. Sorry. As for the rest of you who are amazing and would participate, well hats off for you ;)MWAH X Oh and it might seem that I am a bit mad as a hatter and you might think how can we count on her? Well I assure you that I won't wast your time or mine. I am doing an irregular diploma ( 3 sciences --> bio, chem, and physics ) and I have as much on my plate as you do on yours. I am also the Secretary General of the MUN in my school and I am organizing the third annual local level conference and running it. So I promise you, your time and effort that you will put in will not go to waste! YOU WILL LOVE THE FINAL OUTCOME

    International CAS Project?

I am sorry this has been inactive for sometime. HOWEVER, I HAVE GREAT NEWS! So I talked to my CAS supervisor about this idea we had, but with a little twist. International CAS Project?

I was thinking that if we have a huge group as in 7 representatives from 7 different schools we can design and start a campaign about a specific common social conflict, such as self-image, anorexia, or bullying. It is not that much of a time consuming project, it is simple, but it's the idea that different people from different backgrounds cooperated together. It can be creativity, for we are creating and coming up with the campaign and service because it spreading a vital social image. It can be a leadership project for each representative, because each student would be leading his/her campaign in their school. We can also conduct a survey in the end to see how effective it was and combine the results in a pie chart or any other kind of graph. Do you have another idea in mind? xx
  7. Hello I was wondering if anyone would like doing an International CAS project. In other words two or more students from different IB schools create one big project that is carried out in different countries of the world. I reckon it would be an incredible and remarkable experience. Anyone interested??! Oh and I am from Saudi Arabia
  8. Hey guys My midterms are coming up, and I am stressing out so much it is not even funny! I am even starting to have white hair popping X_X My concentration and focus is completely gone. I have been trying to study chemistry (I am doing HL) for 2 days now and I didn't get past 2 pages! I was wondering how do you guys deal with stress and all? I am the type of person who gets very worried and over-thinks things.

    Is anyone attending THIMUN?

I really wanted to go to the Hague but our director chose Qatar instead '
  11. Hello So I think I need major advice and help, and I'd greatly appreciate it !! Ok, so the situation is the following: I am doing the full IB Diploma, however a Non-regular diploma. I am doing English A2, Biology, and Chemistry as HL and Math, Physics and Arabic A2 as SL. I am not a native English speaker, but I have been studying English for 10 years so I consider it as a first language as well. My mother-tongue language is Arabic. Although I love my language, I am doing English as HL instead because I am planning to study abroad (hopefully) and I think it will help me greatly and improve my English. The problem is that my teacher is very bad. She does nothing with us in terms of work. We are currently doing 1984 by George Orwell. She explains the book well, but she goes off topic so much and she does not work with us. We haven't done any essays or questions or anything at all. She didn't even discuss the layout of the IB examinations or the criterion with us, and I think I am failing. I cannot change the level now for two reasons. First, I cannot change any of the sciences or math, because the school does not offer math or physics at HL level. So, this leaves me with the choice of switching it with Arabic. Since we are already half way through the year, if I switch I would have to catch up with so much work in addition to the usual work we get. This means I would end up dying of sleep deprivation and utter exhaustion! So shall I switch levels or? The other thing is that even if I end up switching that would be after my midterms that start on January the 12th. This means I am stuck with English for now. The midterms' papers will be similar to the IB's, this is the school's way of helping us get ready. I really do not want to give up on English HL. I am willing to work and all only if someone guides me to which how I should study and what should I do? I don't mind putting in the extra effort. I am really determined. If anyone is doing English A2 HL regardless of the book etc.. can you please help me with some guidelines your teacher told you. For example, how to answer paper 1, what to mention in your paper 2 essay.. I would be very grateful :') It would be awesome if you are willing to become my study buddy or something like that, we can help each other and stuff Thank you so much in advance!

    Math HL or SL?

If you're going to major in something involving math like engineering or such, definitely take Math HL. I am doing Math SL, because my school does not offer HL, but I would've loved to take it, so you are very lucky to have it. If you need it do it, don't be intimidated by the questions or anything else. You said the HL teacher is amazing, so that's a great bonus!
  14. Hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone is in MUN? If so is anyone attending the THIMUN conference in Qatar?
