  1. Thank you, but I don't think you understood my question. I meant valid as in I can use that as my project, not valid as in one of the criteria. My project was sent of last year, got marked and counted towards my final grade, but I am retaking the exam this year and the syllabus has changed... Or did you mean that the one in your class also did the project for last year's examinations?Never mind - I read it as resists and not resits :-P I thought you meant he resisted doing the project or something.

  3. Hi, I took my exams May last year and I'm retaking some subjects this May. As there is a new syllabus in math studies on which the examinations are based, is my project from the last syllabus still valid? I just thought of this and panicked, because I really don't have time to do another project, and even if I had time, I'm sure the deadline is way past :-( please answer as soon as possible if you know anything about it! (I have e-mailed the teacher I had as well)
  4. Norwegian HL: 6 English Lang/Lit HL: 7 Economics SL: 6 History HL: 6 Biology: 5 Math Studies: 6 EE: C TOK: B Total: 37 Overall I am happy with my subject grades, but pissed that I got a C on my English lang/lit EE when I expected an A... Especially when I need 38 or 39 to get in. A bit dissapointed of the bio grade, as I got 6s and 7s on the mock exams. Other than that I am happy with the 6 in econ, as I felt that I totally screwed up on the exam. Does anybody know how the remarking works or how long it takes? I want my EE remarked, or at least get an explanation if that's possible
  5. I chose anthropoda because it had an exoskeleton. I also chose sex-linked by most of my class did not. They chose the one with the a.... something, I don't know because I'd never heard of that before. We had a huge discussion on it after, and everyone seemed to have a good justification for what they chose, so I'm really unsure about that one...
  6. I found the paper quite hard, as did most of my class. We studied the USSR's history, but focused less on Yeltsin. I focused on that when revising as well, from 1924-91, but not 1991-2000. I was assuming that I'd write at least one essay on that, but I ended up doing none, as I didn't feel I could do a good essay on the Stalin breakdown of wartime alliance thing either. I had to answer the Mussolini and Central Powers losing WW2 questions. In addition I did the immigration question on Norway. I had the history of Norway in the back of my head in case of emergency and having to answer Section 12, but I didn't know specific dates, it was like "in the middle of the 1980s", and "in the 60s and 70s" Wasn't 1922-26 a strange timeframe for Mussolini? Did anything significant happen in 1926 that I couldn't remember? I felt like I couldn't remember dates on Mussolini either... All in all, it was the worst paper 3 I've ever did, and it is so annoying because I got 7 on all mocks and way better questions. I guess it wasn't so wise to assume what to get...
  7. I did option B and E (TZ2, I think. Norway). I think it went pretty well. I managed to answer all the questions, I even drew a diagram for contra-lateral processing :-P The questions I was most unsure about were the data questions, as it is sometimes hard to know what they expect you to write. For option E it was what the implications are for humans of a study on mice's brain activity I dint't really know what to write. But overall, it was the exam I was most happy with. Anyone else with option B? In that case, was the sarcomere contracted or relaxed?
  8. I do not understand how people could get 12 I was 100% confident with the number 6. Did you remember to subtract the ones who went to more than one from the overall number of people going to each? For example. it says 12 went to circus, 3 went to all, 2 went to circus and another, thus the number of people going to the circus only is 7. I did this, and I also got 12...
  9. How did you solve the one with the angle of the line going through with the base of the tent? Do you remember what you got? It was one of the questions I was really unsure about...
  10. Are you supposed to write the number of the booklet on the answer booklet (e.g. 1/4 if you've written 4 and it is the first)? If so, I have a BIG problem, as I have not done it for any of the exams, and I've done 10 exams! I have looked at the front page each time, but haven't seen a place to write it, and the invigilators have not said anything about it... In addition, when I've started on a new booklet, I haven't written the question number again. What I suddenly thought of was that they are sent to be scanned, and if the string tag is taken off and the booklets mixed, it will make it EXTREMELY hard for the examiners to interpret the order and what goes where, especially in History HL P3. Seeing as I have 4 exams left, so at least I have the chance to do it right on those..,
