  1. I think for most of the website citations I used, I could find a book or journal instead if I hit up the uni library. I hadn't thought of that For instance, I said most Christian institutions, including the Roman Catholic church, condemn the use of recreational drugs and cited: Christian Attitudes towards Drugs." Bitesize. BBC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/rs/sanctity/chdrugsrev2.shtml.
  2. "If Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton win the US presidential primaries, I'm leaving the country." Shoot.
  3. I am using Chicago to write my EE. I feel like my footnotes are taking up too much room on the pages. Most of my sources have URLs with them; is it acceptable to take out all of the URLs of the footnotes if they are included in my Bibliography? Does the Chicago stylebook have any input on this, and what do you think from an IB student's POV?
  4. Imagining Argentina was awesome!
  5. http://xmltwo.ibo.org/publications/DP/Group6/d_6_theat_tsm_1408_1/pdf/Example05_report_en.pdf Above is a link to a Task 2 example published by IB. On the first page, the student cites Wikipedia. In schools in the U.S., we are taught never, under any circumstance, to cite Wikipedia. Is this the same in other countries? If so, why does IB consider it to be a reliable source?
  6. Last year I woke up in the middle of the night after a nightmare about spending a whole day trying to finish a Spanish grammar packet to no avail and then having to go to Spanish without the work. I was terrified.
  7. I'm a social liberal except when it comes to gun laws. The southern girl in me can't give that up. PS. If Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton win the US presidential primaries, I'm leaving the country.
  8. I'm a nihilist, so I believe that there is no answer that question within our grasp. We can never know for sure. To me, it is extremely impossible for there to be a supreme creator that reigns over us, but at the same time, it is extremely impossible that there isn't one. I cannot answer this question, and neither can any of you, but the difference is I will not waste my breathe trying to.
  9. Most state schools and some private universities in the U.S. don't really look at that (for Physics nor Econ majors.) You only send in your scores if you want the credit transferred.
  10. Quite interesting. Seems to be pretty positive, though.
  11. I go to a Memphis City School, so basically all of the teachers except the IB and AP ones are mostly idiots. I took Newspaper (a standard class) my sophomore year and it was the worst teacher I ever had. I am so grateful for all of my wonderful IB teachers.
