    Biology HL TZ1 Paper 3

I agree with you on the bird song one, Although it seemed like a pretty fair question I was also thrown off because the syllabus doesn't cover much about it depending on how they feel this year, I feel like they're going to want specific examples of birds, etc

    Biology HL TZ1 Paper 3

Lol i know!! We did those options mostly 'cause it fits in with some of the core stuff. Haha, same here! I was hoping there wouldn't be any Hemoglobin oxygen curves and explaining them I was confused with why the bird song was 6 marks Ahh i hated the rat question!!! What was with all those extra rat groups? Unnecessary info much I think the bird song question will be rather broad in the mark scheme, I was really surprised to see it be assigned 6 marks too. I scrawled down a whole page of information hoping I hit on enough points! These data based questions were actually some of the worst I've ever done; they were so weird, and yeah those rat groups threw me off tbh All hail the IB for knowing how to piss students off... losing marks on silly data base questions that make up like 1/3 of the exam Hopefully :/ and yeah so did I, but idk the syllabus didn't go too in-depth with it, I just talked about how some of it is innate, patially learned, mimicked by other birds, mimicked from mobile phones, etc. LOL I was confused with heart rate and blood pressure, like doesn't pressure decrease if your heart rate decreases? What did you put for the last question in the bees data one?

    Biology HL TZ1 Paper 3

Hey guys, So how did everyone find it? What options did you all do? I think this might've been the better of the three papers, but the marks that they assigned for some questions were confusing I did Option E and Option H.

    Biology HL TZ1 Paper 1 & 2

I believe it was ruler mag/scale mag, which gave something like 64mm/400 or whatever the magnification was for the actual size, and +/- 0.0025 for the uncertainty...at least I hope that's right lol That's what I did as well (except I measured 65 mm oh well ). I believe I expressed it in both mm and micrometers because they didn't really specify how to express it, and I'm so used to expressing actual size in terms of micrometers... hopefully they don't ding me Lol well it still gives you 0.16 either way you do it hehe. And yeah i'm pretty sure they'll accept both! i mean...it's the least they could do for being so hard-ass on us...

I found it really easy compared to previous papers for sure! Data analysis for this one was good since it just asked you to state measurements For questions 5 and 6 on section B i did backflips of joy : D

BIOLOGY- PAPER 2 Section B Marking Question

Hey Well after doing numerous paper 2's for bio, i noticed that the markscheme does have multiple answers you could have, for example, that question worth 8 marks. As long as you listed any of the eight points out of however many options there were on the markscheme, you should get the marks By quality, if you're inferring to the details you put in your answer, it does but only for the 2 marks that are awarded just for how you structured your paper 2 answer. Hope this answers your question, and you're a fellow Canadian too! Awesome

    English A Lit - HL Paper 1

Oh man, Haha I regret chosing the poem (TZ1 - Watching Dolphins) since apparently the prose hear was much easier. But I was able to understand the whole idea behind the poem and talked about aural imagery, symbolism, colours and some extended metaphor & I'm just hoping for a 4 lol

    History HL IA help

I'm in the same situation as you are, but with my EE Upon completing the IA, you have to ensure that your questions aren't too 'bland'. You might want to consider the specifics of what exactly you're talking about in your proposed questions. "To what extent does D-Day represent a turning point in WW2", that turning point you mention has to do with Hitler's army and creation of a second front for their army, which would eventually just speed up the end of the war. That being said, I would probably look at how the defeat of the German's was inevitable due to the events of WWII, or perhaps the extent to which a allied country played a role in that 'turning point' of D-Day. Something more focused In terms of the Korean War (proxy war), you might want to look at how certain outcomes (aftermath) of the Korean war had an impact on the cold war, but be specific on what aftermath point you want to bring up.

    Chemistry EE Topic?

I actually changed it, since UV light can potentially destroy these photosensitive chemicals. But yeah I do, I have access to a University lab that my supervisor contacted. I'm just worried, would anything to do with aspirin and stuff be an over-done topic for the EE?

    Chemistry EE Topic?

Alright, so after 5 hours of grueling research, an interesting idea sparked me (in terms of organic chem): I'm planning to do something innvolving Ultraviolet/Infrared light on the yield of nucleophilic substition mechanisms of halogenoalkanes with sodium hydroxide, (could this be determined by UV spectrometry? this would be super cool, i think) Or maybe using thin layer chromatography? Let me know what you fellow IBs think
