  1. you can!! generally its not recommended because you haven't learnt the ib course and because of that you haven't properly learnt to think like an ib history student but it's possible! Yeah, you can! Although I had some difficulty with the requirements, so did a friend who was taking history IB and doing her EE on history. So tbh, makes no difference
  2. I mean i'm aware that when you add/subtract you consider the Decimal places and when multiplying/dividing you consider the sig figs only, but would this be valid throughout the entire calculation, cause then the final answer would be very off!!
  3. The results should be rounded only in the end of calculation. This is to minimize the rounding error throughout the calculation. But then how do you know how many significant figures/ decimal places it should be rounded to, if the previous calculations weren't. I mean, if the previous results were like long numbers, wouldn't it be arbitrary to decide how many to consider throughout the rest of the calculation?
  4. SHOULD THE RESULTS BE ROUNDED IN ONLY IN THE END OF THE CALCULATION OR THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CALCULATION?

  8. I hope this helps out those who need an idea for a math investigation! Note from mod: Please remember that plagiarism is taken very seriously by the IBO. Not putting in effort on a math investigation is not worth losing your diploma over.
  9. hey! so there's this facebook page we've already made to plan these sort of things, contact Mr. Purple Monkey to get included in the group!
  10. doesn't everybody have a CAS coordinator, maybe each one of us could ask him/her to be our separate supervisor, considering this would be international
  11. ME! I think the idea is marvelous and taking into consideration the current achievements of Malala and international prestige of Emma Watson's speech, I couldn't think of a better time to take part in the movement! I'm just a bit apprehensive on how this site could work since I myself have no I.T. knowledge... I live in Brazil and I'm taking my IB exams in may 2015, so if you're also very willing, I suggest we start working on this project ASAP!
  12. Hi! I'm from Brazil and I'm interested in the idea as well!
  13. since I don't do history IB but my EE is on history, would that be a useful tool for the essay as well?

    EE on History

So I'm feeling kind of desperate because I've got so much source material that I'm drowning in information! To relieve the stress, I was wondering whether I could alter my research question from this... To what extent did the youthful participation in the Soweto riots of '76 precipitate changes in South Africa that ultimately led to the end of the Apatheid? ...to this... How did the youthful participation in the Soweto riots of '76 precipitate changes in South Africa that ultimately led to the end of the Apatheid? Basically I would narrow the focus of the essay by not mentioning the other factors that led to the end of the apartheid. But by limiting the other implications that led to the end of the apartheid, would I get a weaker grade on the essay?
