  3. Just wondering how much it costs for a remark. All the posts I've seen are dated 3-4 years. I was thinking of getting my TOK score remarked (predicted 29/30 -> received 13/30). Thanks for helping me one last time, IBSurvival!
  4. Hard work always pays off. I'm sure you'll meet your offers!
  5. Ahh, that makes much more sense! At least the number was only /2 ><
  6. heh. 2 weeks before Definitely not my best decision, but my university offer was good unless I lost 6 IB points. I ended up going in with minimal studying for English, History and Math since I prioritized Bio and Chem. I think I still did pretty well, though! Definitely met my PG in English, but Math and History will be close! I think I got better than my PGs in Bio and Chem. Studying hard for French this weekend!
  7. How was everyone's paper 3?? I found IR spectroscopy question with O2 vs O3 weirdly challenging. From previous knowledge, I thought O3 was a GHG and not O2. But both gases had super high IR absorbance rates in the graph. Also wasn't it weird that the graph's y-axis was absorbance and not transmittance? The rest of that number was okay though. I found option C pretty easy. There weren't any really challenging questions.
  8. I agree, option C seemed by far the easiest. We basically covered all of option C in our grade 10 provincial curriculum. I found that the questions on the exam were really simple and the 4 point question about invasive species was almost identical to what was in the specimen paper. For section A, I had actually studied the Meselson and Stahl experiments before the exam, though it helped very little The semiconservative vs. conservative question was easy. But I just wrote BS for the question about generation 3.0 having two bars.. Something like: it shows that the N15 from the new environment is being used and the N14 from the original DNA still remains in the newly-replicated DNA, which proves that replication is semiconservative. idek lol
  9. So, as we all know, paper 2 is worth 40% of Chem SL. Leading up to my paper 2 mock, I was pretty confident. I had 6+ on my IA, P1 mock and P3 mock. Then came P2 and I got a 3. At this point, I would be happy with getting around 25-30/50 on P2.. Any tips on how to maximize my points on P2. I still have time to study and relearn some concepts, since the exam is next Thursday.
  10. 40+ would be great.. I'm currently predicted 40
  11. I usually go to bed at around 10:30 and wake up at around 6:10. Work wise, I usually do 2 hours per day, but for an exam or a huge assignment, I'll go up to 5 hours in the days prior to it. I'm currently going through a week of hell (Bio + Chem IAs, IOC, History Paper 2 mocks, EE viva voce, random bio exam), so I'm planning on working for ~4-5 hours per day. T_T
  12. I don't think it's necessarily too simple, but it's not suitable imo since it seems overly done. A simple Google search already shows a ton of tutorials on how to solve it. And it's always better to take an original and personal approach to an IA. It also seems a bit too one-dimensional, which would limit other topics you could also explore in your IA.
  13. hot bc who doesn't love to breathe heavily??
  14. agar.io is so much fun, but I immediately get sucked in for an hour or so
  15. I'm bisexual, so I'm sure you can guess my position regarding this topic. I'm thankful to live in Canada, where I am not restricted in my private exploration of my sexuality. But my dad is pretty much openly homophobic at home. He is disapproving of anything relating to homosexuality which is truly disheartening. He doesn't know I'm bi, but I hope he becomes more open-minded in the future, whether I'm in a relationship with a woman or a man.
