  1. I thought it was difficult comparing to past years but still manageable. I did have some time management problems so my handwriting is probably not easy to understand at some points but I did get to finish. For question 4, I said that although it's true that the US had a major role, it's too simplistic to say that it was the "driving force". I talked about how Sadat was eager to reach a peace agreement because of Egypt's economic problems at the time.
  2. Oh thank god I'm not the only one. I absolutely hated this paper. I'm seriously scared of it ruining my grade. Thankfully it's only 20% of the grade.
  3. I don't think it's absolutely necessary to bring up historians. I've been able to get 7s (although, low 7s) on a few of my paper 3 essays without talking about historians.
  4. We did that paper for our mocks. It was on Suez Crisis.
  5. For paper 2, I would suggest studying one single-part ruler as well. It would give you another possible question to choose. Hitler seems to be reasonable since you would be studying the section as part of causes of WWII.
  6. I would suggest starting with all four if you really like all of the HL subjects you want take. You can always drop one if you feel it's too much pressure and if you make that decision before the first semester it won't even show on your transcript (that is, if you are planning to apply to universities that want to see your transcript). What I'm saying is that you have nothing to lose.

    EU funds

Does anyone know when is the deadline to apply for EU funds for 2014-15 academic year and if we can apply with a conditional offer to a university?
  12. OMG really the abnormality and normality one was a November?! God i wish i practiced it but I still did it anyways haha. I hardly did paper 3 revision so I messed that up:/ i kinda made stuff up:/ oh well it's over! Congrats on finishing it too!! I'm sure you did great! Goodluck for results! Well I kind of did that too. I only revised the vocabulary, I didn't have any time to look at past papers or anything, although I'm not even sure if they are available because of copy right issues... . What I meant was that it was easy to improvise and there were a lot of points to include. But congrats on finishing one more subject! Hope it goes well for the rest of the subjects.
  13. I really liked all three papers. But I was surprised that paper 2 had repeated questions from the November exam and the May exam. The concepts of normality and abnormality was in the November one and theories of altruism was in the May one. It made me really happy because I knew these two topic particularly well and I was disappointed when I found out they had just been given. I thought there was no way for them to be repeated
  14. I think they are graded separately (different boundaries for each time zone). It wouldn't be fair to treat the same way.
  15. Right?! I got the ratios but the table confused me so much! I found it really annoying that most questions related to the ecology and evolution chapter. I did really well on my mock exam and found it really easy so the actual exam felt sort of like a punch in the face.
