  1. It was a complete nightmare! Question 1 and 2 were do-able, 3 was so so.. but 4 and 5 :/ I don't know man, I just hope with 1 and 2 and whatever I got from 3 is enough to get me a 50% of that test :/
  2. You can take an SL class in one year! so if you're really good at a subject, take the IB final exam in the first year, if you do good you'll only have 5 or 4 (depending on how many you do) for the second year, a lot more focus and its a lot easier! And if you do badly? You can just take it again like everyone else, win win situation! Wish I had known this, wouldve taken my English SL at the end of grade 11.
  3. The answer is at a pretty 273! Remember that the Molecular mass is of I2 not I.. so instead of (126.9) you have to multiply it with 2 and Then multiply it with 3 for the number of bonds, you get a nice 761.4 .. change that into 100g of the linolenic acid and you'll get a 273 iodine number
  4. I suppose it ask the function of these type of hormones What do you mean these types of hormones? They asked what is the main function of these two hormones in the body. I must have misunderstood the question, because I thought they asked to describe the main function of progesterone OR testosterone. I remember the word "or" because I even underlined it, but maybe the question refered to both of them, damn it! Don't worry! The exact wording of the question was as following: "Progestrone and Testosterone are other steroid hormones produced from cholesterol. Outline a function of Progestrone OR testosterone in the human body. " Your welcome! I didn't realise the or until later.. so I wrote both functions, no harm no foul!
  5. Anyone know where I can get good notes to use as revision? I know all the concepts, but going over the book is daunting, demotivating, and isn't concise :/ So anyone knows where I can get revision notes to go over everything?
  6. For Option B Do you guys remember which groups were present in the cholesterol and aldestrone and which were only present in the aldestrone? or where the aldestrone is produced? What about ways to avoid food deficiency? and what were Benefits of the Linolenic acid? What did you get for the Iodine number?
  7. Once you find the total area he can graze on (like what sam1996 said). Then you divide total area he can graze on by size of the field, multiply by 100 and BAM you got the percentage
  8. The answers kind of gave it away.. I agree with you, but you could see that the only Ions were the copper ions (under the oxidation answer).. so you could assume they were oxidised.. It was a tricky one.. I guess Im not even sure I got it right.
  9. How did you guys do? I took Biochem and Environmental? I found it ridiculously easy.. Biochem Qs: Do you guys remember which groups were present in the cholesterol and aldestrone and which were only present in the aldestrone? or where the aldestrone is produced? What about ways to avoid food deficiency? and what were Benefits of the Linolenic acid? What did you get for the Iodine number? Environmental Qs: Does VOC count as a greenhouse gas? What were the Anaerobic and Aerobic elements you put? (I had Nh2/H2S and No2/So2) I think only my H2S was right.. Don't know why I screwed up that one.. Thanks
  10. yeah.. for the life of me I couldn't figure out the wavelength question.. even my teacher couldn't answer it..
  11. It was a disaster! Holy broccoli it was crazy. 1. Time was Extremely limited. I needed a solid hour to attempt all questions to the extent of my knowledge. 2. The questions weren't easy either! I probably left around 50-55 points untouched out of the 120.. assuming I get everything else correct (which I probably wont) it was still extremely difficult! Tell me how you guys did! Hopefully It didn't go as badly for you!
  12. Yeah.. current is q/t .. since the charge of e is 1.6 x 10^-19 and you have x e's (calculated from the question above via eVs) then I = q of e x n of e.
  13. How was it? Which options did you guys choose and how did you do? Personally I got option B and E.. Astrophysics was a walk in the park besides the binary star question, option B on the other hand had me doubting myself the entire way, calculations just didn't seem right.. But then again there are so many numbers its so easy to mistype a small digit into the calculator that makes the whole thing wrong Anyways! Share how you guys did!
  14. You should use F S= mv^2 /2 The guy above you said he got 5. I also used the same method (Stated above as well), I just don't remember the exact values, so I can't tell you. Either way don't worry, seems like we got it correct.
