  1. How does everyone feel about the Chem HL P1 and P2 TZ1 ?
  2. The one regarding the total cost of the wedding guests? it gave a fxn like 95e^(-0.002x) + 40 or something like that I don't remember what I got, but I remember realizing that you have to plug in the number of guests and then multiply that number (the cost of ONE guest) by the total number of guests again to find the FINAL cost (which they had bolded) Do you remember how to do the one with the vector transformation? It said it's transformed so that there's only one x-intercept or something Not too well... was that the one with the 20 degrees, island and supply store? I don't remember the actual question though... No it was the one where they gave us a function ( i can't remember what it is) and then they said it gets transformed so that the fxn only has one solution.

  6. So how did you guys find Math P2 TZ1 ?
  7. I know the feeling mate. I felt like they should be lower too...just in comparison to the past papers. But I can't tell if it's just because of my biased perception of how much harder this exam felt rather than if it actually was. I found P1 to be pretty straightforward, with the exception to the last probability Q involving Ann. P2 wasn't nearly as fun though How do you guys feel about P1?

  9. whoa...did you get something to do with root 66 by any chance? I thought it was the WEIRDEST thing... But I'm pretty sure I got it wrong root 66 was somewhere in my answer .. it was a fraction i think .. that Q was going so well until they asked us to find that area .. I know right? WHOA, so I might get partial marks? That's good enough for me right now, something's better than nothing. Especially because there's quite a high possibility I lost 13 marks in the last 2 letters of #10 That stupid stupid question. I hate Ann, she should lose the game (no offense intended to any Ann's out there) when are we allowed to discuss paper 2 .. it was absolutely terrible

  11. Did anyone else get a complex number for the area of the triangle in the vector section of Q8?
  12. did anyone get the area of the triangle Q on the vector part on P1? I got some complex number involving roots so that doesn't seem right for a P1 ...
  13. What are your thoughts on IB vs. Certificate grades? I know that if I take Diploma I'll get a low grade but if I take Certificates plus other required courses, I'll get a higher grade because they just convert it to regular grade .. So essentially, my question is, is a low Diploma grade better than a high regular grade? Thanks for your time
  14. Hi, I'm planning on dropping out of the Diploma program and take Certificate courses after my first year.. My courses are Math, French and Eng SL, Chem BIo and History HL .. My question is, what type of score (out of 45) is good enough to get into a good university .. I live in Canada and I've asked UBC, and they said the minimum is like 24 .. But obviously competition must be much higher than that and with the courses I've got (they weren't my first choice classes) I don't think I'll get more than around 30-32 .. Is that score good enough to get admission to U. Of Waterloo for example? Thanks!
