  1. I don't remember for sure, but was the HDI comparison question about the usefulness/relevance of assessing countries economic development??
  2. Mine had South Korea and Singapore compared to another country. It was easy compared to my paper 1.

This is an outline of how the physics syllabus has changed, starting from May 2016. It is divided into topics taken out, topics brought in for SL and HL. Hope this solves confusion of any test takers.

This is my work on M10/1/A1KOR/HP1/KOR/TZ0/XX – 제일과 제일장. It was internally marked by my teacher and got A - 4 B - 4 C - 4 D- 4 hence 16 out of 20 possible marks. Hope this helps! There seemed to be a lack of files on Korean A1 and I thought this might help some people

  7. I think you are perfectly fine with the current word count.
  8. Hi, I'm stuck on a vector (I think?) question and need help. Thank you so much in advance!
  9. Hi, I've been revising maths HL and now I'm stuck on a question related to integration and substitution? Can anyone help me and teach me how to solve this question?
  10. Yes it is alright. As Vioh has mentioned, it is advised that you provide crude definitions/translations of the original text when necessary. My teachers approved my usage of Korean resources for my history EE before
  11. I wasn't referring to the microeconomic context but rather an international economic situation of tariff (more specific than tax).
  12. You could try to do something along the lines of comparing the gini index and lorenz curve of different countries. But honestly, it all depends on how you analyze and expand a topic. A seemingly simple topic could be turned into something original, creative and fascinating IA whereas choosing a difficult topic from an area that you have no idea whatsoever about could lead to a disaster. Reading along some econ articles if you really want to find a topic, maybe go through the textbook for some key terms that grab your attention. Hope you find my advice helpful
  13. Hello, I'm currently working on my third economics IA on international economics but I encountered some problems with graphing. I want to illustrate the effect of change from per unit tariff to Ad valorem tariff but I'm not sure how to graph the diagrams? Does anyone know how to distinguish 'per unit tariff diagram' from 'Ad valorem tariff diagram'? Thank you so much in advance!
  14. Honestly, if you want to change a subject don't even hesitate change now. From personal experience, I regretted so much not changing physics to biology.
  15. Congrats to you all! I was predicted 44/45 with the only six being History HL. I heard from - UCL (39) - Warwick (38) - Bath (37) - HKU (42 with scholarship!) for Economics so far, and is yet to hear from - LSE - Cambridge, Downing College (had an interview) I'm also planning to apply to NUS and several Korean universities so unfortunately my personal statement writing days are not over yet
