1. I thought paper 1 was quite easy. Don't remember much about paper 1 though, aside from the fact that it was about LadyA. Paper 2 was alright, I did questions 2, 3, and 5. How about you?
2. Thought both papers were relatively easy (TZ2) but I couldn't manage my time and ended up rushing the last question for paper 2
3. 500K And yeah the efficiency was 47%! I answered that the energy that is given off to surroundings is dissipated as kinetic energy in the molecules i.e. no more useful to do work, so it is degraded energy. You all got 500, I got 5000 and double checked my answer And I said that it is dissipated in the surroundings and transferred to it and no longer able to perform useful work and cannot flow into the system/gas from the surroundings And what did you write for the area,mInwrote net work done by the gas during one compete cycle Yeah I wrote the work done in one cycle But I feel the IB might be picky and require the word net that you put :/ I defined a wavefunction as a function whose amplitude squared gives you the probability of finding an electron at that point. From past papers, its enough to say thats a wavefunction that's associated with the position of an electron I think :\$ I've never seen in past papers a definition for wave function , for this reason I was doubting my answer, the could rather be describe what is meant by a wave function,mbecause the answer it self is not a definition for wavefunction, it Is like you define mv^2 s2 and you say it is energy due to the movement of the body, but no, it is the formula used to.... 4. Anyone do the question on digital technology? What did they get for the play time on the DVD? I got 59 minutes, but I'm not sure if that's correct.
5. Yep, just used the first law of thermodynamics for that one. Q = 0, Q=dU+W, W=210, -210=U Actually, U is not -210 its cause 210 work was done ON the system to W is negative, so W is actually -210, which means âˆ†U is 210 J :\$ I don't know exactly what the question asked, but I'm glad I at least got the number right :X Nice PGs btw

7. Thought that question was pretty interesting at first, as it did take me a while to get the derivation. The rest of that question was pretty basic though.
8. I think Q7 was the one with SHM and Thermal and Q8 was the one with momentum and Digital Technology.
9. How did you find question 7? I found Q7 alright, might have messed up a bit when calculating the mass. I used the equation Ek=.5mÏ‰^2x^2 to get the mass and got 3.something :/ Hbu? Why 5? Got half the displacement but a quarter of the max KE... And you couldn't draw the amplitude? Same my mistake. By 1/4 of the amplitude I meant 1/4 of the KE I can't believe I forgot to include the change in displacement. Life=over
10. Ahh that's similar to what my friend got. .5 = 1/2 I drew it exactly like the graph for the KE particle A, with a maximum KE of 0.04 when x=0.
11. I got something completely different, although I'm sure that you're right. However, everyone I consulted so far about this question drew different things. I basically reversed the graph of impulse, which was obviously the wrong answer. Don't know what I was doing :L. I'm sure the question stated that you didn't have to state the values on the y-axis though. Or maybe that was for another question. I forgot

14. TZ2 here. I thought paper 2 was a gift from satan, I don't know how you guys found it easy. I chose questions 7 and 8. Paper 1 was so-so. Did anyone get a ton of A's in paper 1? Or is it just me I'm really hoping paper 3 won't be too hard.
