  1. Thanks, the subjects were french sl and maths sl, the 5 was for maths and 4 was for french. My teachers keep telling me that my hard work will pay off but i just dont see that happening :/ I am willing to help you with your French if you want - I finish my exams on Monday and from then on, I'm completely free. I've been getting 7s for SL French since last year Thanks, I'll just speak with my teacher about a few things and then give you a message.

  3. Hey guys, For the past year i have been doing IB I have been putting in a significant amount of effort. I study all afternoon and weekends and have sacrificed a lot. However it has come to mock exam week and i have so far gotten a 4 and 5 in teo of the subject exams. This has really annoyed me as i put so much effort into them to hopefully get at least a 6. My other subjects are likely to have the same result. I am worried that I am just too dumb to ever get good marks and I wont get into any of the courses i want. Any advice? Thanks,
  4. Hi guys, My physics teacher has been really angry lately which has caused his teaching to be not so good. He have recently been doing some pracs, and he said that they are all terrible and appauling, but yet wont give them to us back for any feedback, so we can't really improve all that much. He says he won't give us any of our lracs back as one of them with be in the exam and that we will lose them. I was wondering if anyone had any example pracs that scored high marks or a specific outline to be followed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!
  5. Hi guys, Im currently in IB1 and our class found out that our english teacher will be leaving at the end of the year. The replacement teacher is one who has had no prior experience with the IB and is a very harsh marker. Where as the current teacher has had several years experience and is an IB examiner. I'm worried that this teacher will not be as good as the current and will impact on my grades. She has been known to be a good teacher though, however she does favour the girls over boys and well yeah. Should i not be worried and just continue with my studies, or will this have an impact on my final grade? Thanks,
  6. Ok good thanks, I was told its a pretty weird range of subjects hahaYeah I know haha. Sports science I think is a bit weird and i would recommend ESS or Biology sl since they are a lot easier than Sports science. It is very hard to get a 7 in Sports science. ESS has been cut out of the program, I wasn't able to do biology sl as it is in the same line as physics, i have also checked the recent results for november exams and 56% recieved a 7
  7. Thanks, yeah I don't intend on 'cruising' through the course, so I should be good judging what has been said so far
  8. Ok good thanks, I was told its a pretty weird range of subjects haha
  9. Wow ok, yeah I have pretty much been scared into doing a lot of study by posts of past students. should be good
  10. I spoke with our careers advisor at my school, to get into the university I plan to attend I only require physics SL, and Maths SL. I'm just a bit worried about the difficulty of Physics HL and not sure whether I can cope. Oh... That's what this is all about. Well, there is a noticeable leap in difficulty from Physics SL to HL. But nothing like the leap between Math HL and SL. Obviously, the main issue is the additional AHL and HL content. I'd advise you start working on one HL topic because the going can get really tough. (Speaking from my own experience.) However, in my opinion, it's worth the additional trouble. Especially if you're passionate about engineering, because physics is pretty much an essential basis of engineering (obviously, there's Math too). In the end, if you're willing to put in the hard work and you think you've got the motivation to stay strong when the going gets tough then you'll do well. But you'll really have to take your learning into your own hands if you want to do more than just well. Good Luck! Thanks, that has boosted my confidence a bit. Our teacher has decided to go through HL now so we can decide whether we want to continue it at the end of the year, soI'll be able to work on it now
  11. Hi guys, At my school we do the SL work during IB1 and choose our HL subjects at the end of the year for IB2. Due to me choosing sport science, I have been told that Physics HL is required for me to do. I very much enjoy physics, however I have found it in IB1 difficult. Our teacher is known for being very strict and harsh, which may contribute to its difficulty. Anyway I was wondering how hard would it be for me to score decent marks in the subject. I have been told it is extremely difficult and hard to pass which can get to me. thanks guys,
  12. I don't need it, and was advised not to due to its difficulty

  14. Yeah im only applying in Australia, where Chemistry isn't a prerequisite
  15. Choosing sport science is at times regretful since it cannot be taken at HL, however if your other subjects are not too bad then it shouldn't be too stressful, and it is also very possible to attain a 7 in
