  1. I don't know which time zone I'm in, but I didn't have orange juice or cars on mine. I thought Paper 1 was a lot easier, but I didn't think Paper 2 was hard either. I just got tripped on stupid little things. I think I did alright though. Totally screwed up the Venn diagram though
  2. I felt good about Paper 1!! The hardest part was the time. I was able to talk about all sources in #4 and include some of my own knowledge but I didn't have enough time to expand on them so they may not really count for much. I was hoping it would be Gorbachev or Xiaoping so I was relieved.
  3. I have no idea which numbers they were but I discussed Hitler's and Stalin's control (or lack, thereof) of religions during their regimes (authoritarian leaders topic) and economic impact of the Cold War on the US and USSR (Cold War topic).
  4. I thought paper one was definitely manageable. I got tripped up on the money conversion without commission one, as well. I actually felt really confident for the most part, though!
  5. I didn't think the C.Study was too time consuming, but I also picked two artists I truly love. My teacher told us it has to be done digitally in powerpoint or a similar application, but I don't think it has to be that way for IB. I printed out images of the 3 pieces I was analyzing, and annotated directly on them the different formal qualities before I typed anything up. Subject specific language is quite important and doing this was helpful. Make sure you pick 2 different artists from different geographic areas/artistic movements, or you won't be able to score the higher marks. Make sure you include the cultural context of each piece, as well as the function and purpose. I took a slide per artist to write a short biography about them. I have 17 slides total. Let me know if you have any questions!
  6. Originally, ours was October 30th but no one was finished (we're the first class of IB at my school so they're still figuring things out). Then it was moved to January 8th and we are submitting on February 19th. Good luck!
  7. Hey y'all! So I have only one thing left for my extended essay! And that is to finish my table of images. I know how to cite photographs but how do I MLA cite a photograph that I took of a painting hanging at a museum? Or do I cite it just as if it's a painting at a museum and disregard the fact that I took the images myself? Thanks!! A link would be helpful or an explanation, whatever is easiest for y'all! Have lovely days!
  8. Into the Wild by Jon Krakuer Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston The Tortilla Curtain by TC Boyle They've all been great!
  9. Hello everyone! So, I have done most of my research for my EE, have a question and all finalized, but am so stressed on how to actually write it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have a rough draft due within the next week or two and I just don't know how to begin writing. Mine will be about the departures from realism, to impressionism, to neoimpressionism with emphasis on Seurat. Many thanks!

    IA Question

Thanks for your input! I'm currently experiencing having too much information I want to include which I was not expecting! I'm specifically examining the Tuskegee Syphilis Study and the cell research done on Henrietta Lack's cells, so i'm not including too many events, as far as I know, at least. Have a wonderful day! Thanks again

    IA Question

Hey everyone! I finally finalized and polished my question up. Do you have any feedback? It would be much appreciated. Thanks! "To what extent did American doctors violate black patients' rights between the years of 1932-1972 by disregarding the Nuremburg Code and not obtaining informed consent?"
