    MATHS HL EXAM CALCULATOR POLICY

http://www.navajoprep.com/zapn-manager/uploads/docs/CALCULATORS_FOR_IB_EXAMS_0.pdf Wait that is not what the quote you mention is saying...all that one is saying is which exams you can use a calculator in (presumably there is a list of exams below the line you copied) and that if you're doing an exam in which calculators are NOT permitted then you must put it on the floor to clearly show you are adhering to the rules by not using it at any time during the exam. My question is different, I'm asking for an exam in which calculators ARE allowed, if we can have two? Thanks!!

    MATHS HL EXAM CALCULATOR POLICY

Hi Everybody, I wanted to ask whether one is allowed to bring TWO calculators to the IB Exams (only those permitting calculator use goes without saying), the reason being that for the first part of the course I was using a Texas Instrument handheld device and changed to a HP device for the second part, meaning there are operations I am MUCH more comfortable with using one and others I would much rather use the other for. Obviously, I would never be using both at the same time () so it would be like having one, only one that I am entirely familiar with. Thank you! Rebs

    IB MATHS HL EXAMS

Does anyone have the MATHS HL Papers (1, 2 and 3: Calculus option, preferably) for NOVEMBER 2015? I'll exchange pretty much any paper (2015 May or November) or previous years, if you need them, in BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY & PHYSICS HL all papers. These are very rare! Thanks! Rebs

IB MATHS HL Internal Assessment Moderation

I mean..I would but what do you study? and do you charge? I study engineering (first year). No charge. By grading i just mean a mark out of 20, no additional feedback though, which is really what your peers can do had you had a large enough class. Well my friend had a bad experience sharing her IA, can I send you two without telling you which is mine?? I know this may sound stupid...but it's a bit daunting to sent.. IB MATHS HL Internal Assessment Moderation

Well we are a class of 4 so... But is it really that much? I mean, there is technically no page number limit?! I've shortened the paper as much as my topic allows IMO. But I guess the real question is: will all be read??? Thanks for that!!

    MATHS IA QUESTION

Hi everyone!!! I've submitted my first Maths HL IA draft to my teacher and my feedback is along the lines of: would get full marks if: made shorter (it's 10k words but that includes symbols and numbers, that's 30 pages for the body and around 36 including title page, contents, rationale, appendices, etc.) and made SIMPLER I love maths and really stretched myself with this project, going into extensive proofs using topology, logic and more. He also told me to make it so that 'anyone in my class' would understand. I've simplified it, added diagrams with bold, red arrows to show exactly WHAT I'm doing in steps, and my question is: 1.) Do moderators read the Internal Assessments (for maths like for other subjects), word for word? or do they just skim through/get a feel for the approach? Essentially, what I'm asking is: if I have a sentence that explains a step/process, that is not that trivial, will the moderator give it 15 seconds to make sense of it, or just think...not clear enough??? Also, does anyone in my class really have to understand it? Because my teacher would like to me to give it to a few of my class mates to see if they make sense of it, but let's face it, at this stage and with the workload..who's gonna add a stretching 30+ paper to the pile? Anyway, There are probably no official IB IA moderators on this website, if so...please tell me!! But I wanted to know what you guys think..?? Thank you!! Rebs

    Maths HL IA Format

Could I ask what you got? Thanks for your reply!!

    Maths HL IA Format

Thanks for your reply. Its on abstract algebra, game theory & topology. Basically my IA is like this: MATHS PAPER (graduate paper): Let A Then B My IA: Let A: Knowing, a, b, c & d and considering the following intuitive diagrams, it follows that B. So I'm basically filling everything in, but A and B is obviously still part of my text! Is that OK? Thanks for your reply!! Rebs

    Maths HL IA Format

Hi everyone, I'm doing IB Maths HL and going to graduate this year & have a question regarding my IA. My IA is very advanced and it involved me going over a graduate papers and filling in all the blanks & assumptions taken by the author (there were A LOT! I find myself filling between two steps with heaps of intuitive explanations & diagrams) and from the result of the paper (end proof), proving another theorem. I wanted to know if it is considered plagiarism? Of course, I'm citing the paper, but does simply making a paper much much more complete not consist of an IA? If so, how can I make it consist of an IA? Thank you! Rebs
