  1. Okay, thank you for your help. So I'm assuming it is still worth studying all three texts in depth for the exam instead of just two.
  2. Hello All, As the May 2017 exams are coming up I have a question regarding English Literature A at Standard Level. I wonder whether it is worth writing about 3 texts in the paper 2 essay or whether 2 texts are sufficient in order to achieve a high mark.
  3. IKR its so hard to find some useful sources online
  4. Hi all, I'm currently doing my French B SL written assignment and was wondering whether anyone had any examples of old IA's that received very good marks. I am struggling with the specific layout and points that need to be covered. Much appreciated, Thanks.
  5. Hi All, I have a question about the IB SL Maths exploration. I have done my exploration on statistics and more specifically the correlation between two variables. However, I wonder if correlation is too basic in on order to be able to achieve a decent mark and therefore wonder whether I should redo it. Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi everyone, Can any females fill out my 1 min questionnaire for data collection for the maths IA. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfIKesKRwi7V3gCuCY1X364FmLqhEzL0xOr8cToYuoE6LP5Mg/viewform thanks so much.
  7. Hi all, I am currently applying to the US (fall 2017) and noticed that most of the regular decision application deadlines are in the first week of january, does this refer to the last day to start an application or the last day to send in documents/grades (because our mock grades are released at the end of january/beginning of February as well as the SAT results). Will they still accept my mock grades and end of year report in jan/feb or do i have to be completely finished with the application before the january deadline on their website. Thanks.
  8. Hi, is there a specific structure/layout to be followed when writing the a HL biology IA. My teacher says to put the titles as the IA is marked (like titled sections of Personal engagement, exploration, evaluation...etc) but i feel that this is not the correct or general way to do it. Also, would they mark you down for structuring it that way, as it takes away from the general structure of a lab report? thanks in advance.
  9. Hi all, Does the ee question have to be phrased as a question, and if so does it have to have a yes or no answer (what my supervisor told me) - ps. my essay is on chemistry i have seen many examples which received an A grade and they all begin with either (an investigation of......, exploring the effect of......, evaluating the composition of ......) Also - does anyone have the new ee guide (first examinations 2017) thanks in advance!
  10. Hello all, I was wondering whether or not the in-text citations, for ex. (google.com, 2016) counts towards the extended essay word count. thanks in advance.
  11. Hey, there are some detailed simulations of experiments dealing with transpiration of plants (measuring effect of light intensity/temperature..etc. on transpiration of plants). however, i strongly advise you to avoid doing a simulation IA because there has only been one graduating year of people who are allowed to do simulations (as it was a new addition to the 2016 guide) and as far as i know there isn't anyone who scored exceptionally well. I do recommend doing an easy enzyme-related experiment - like exploring how does enzyme activity differs in different milks - almond/soy/cow/sheep - in different temperatures in a water bath. Good luck with your IA and if you have anymore concerns or questions, please ask.
