  1. As long as you stay under the word count, you should be okay with doing more than two AOK's. However, I would be wary of delving too far into a third AOK, and make sure you have exhausted the first two, as well as have all the other elements of the paper, again, under the word count. Hope this helps!
  2. Ive been in the IB for two years now, and I almost failed my classes last semester, so I know where you are coming from. You just need to make sure that you prioritise everything correctly, and manage your time wisely. Learn how you learn best, and how you focus best. Another thing you can do is take 30 minutes at night and meditate. It will really calm you down and help you concentrate. I also know that it can be difficult to ask for help, so set up meetings with each of your teachers, and have a discussion about where you are struggling, and ask them for advice on how they would suggest you deal with the workload. Just remember to breathe, it'll all be okay!
  3. I think that you are on the right track, but the thing about TOK is that it's completely about knowledge, and KQ's are supposed to be about knowledge, general, and placed in TOK terms. Something you could think about is thinking about why these discriminations happen, or the human sciences behind the response to authority. One example, and this could be developed as well, but it would be good to go off of, is "To what extent does authority create a basis for bias?" or "How do the opinions of authority influence the general population?". Again, these are not quite there either, but I think that they will help you with your presentation. Another tip I could give is to make sure you stay out of the ethical part of it, because TOK and Ethics are like oil and water- they don't mix, its complex, and you'll get no where. Good luck!
  4. Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to this site and it looks really helpful! I was wondering if anyone could help me brainstorm ideas for my 10 hour project? I'm doing SL Biology, and I'm in my second year of Bio. I'm really interested in genetics and DNA experiments, because I actually understand those concepts :). Thank you so much!
