  1. I study at UofT, if you have any questions feel free to send a message!
  2. To what extent does pH(what pH you used) affect the irrigation solutions(examples of solutions you used here, to make it more specific) in the allometric relationship of growth in Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. Sativus (Radish)? And what role does this effect play on the relationship of growth?
  3. Is there an alternative way of measuring their cricket mass without killing them? I think the killing part itself might be what breaks the policy however I'm not sure.
  4. It's OK, I say go ahead with it. However, maybe you could add something spicy into your RQ, like growth of Chlorella in (some unusual condition) which has been researched less before? Maybe growth of chlorella without certain growth factors? Anything with the same topic but a little twitched, think about it, it could help you
  5. Hi. So I thought maybe I could answer this for you because I was in the same stance as you before getting my results in July this year, but turns out I scored a 34/36 in the Biology EE with an A. See, my EE teacher wasn't great, she didn't know the rubric and a lot of times told me to misplace my paragraphs here and there. but let me give you an advice: 1. The 'excellent' IB samples online can be used to see how exactly they did their research, but keep in mind their evaluation and conclusion is particular to their own research and topic, and their own year of IB, when rules were different. 2. Coming from a student who scored well, I can tell you with 100% guarantee that you have to, at any cost, make your evaluation and conclusion the best of your essay. Don't leave that out. For evaluation, IB doesn;t want you to not make mistakes in your experiment, what it wants is for you to admit it and advice how it could be made better. My evaluation was the most thought-out part of my whole essay. My conclusion, however, was a page long and told everything I found in easier words. Anything else?
  6. Hi, thank you! I have not maintained my Score with a 32 actually, I fell down quite a few points but I still have 32 in all. I just wanted to know, do you think UofT accepts students with 32 points? (I haven't scored below a 4 in any subject)
  7. Hi, can you tell me where you say your individual marking for each paper in?
  8. Thank you so much for such kind words. My offer letter asks me to maintain my grades and get my IB Diploma, which I have. But as far as it goes into maintaining my grades- I have fallen by a few grades....It's just 32 is my overall and I just want to know if they will take me and not take the offer away....I have taken Computer Science and no such condition is asked for. Does anybody ever get their offer revoked unless situations are very bad (Below 28) at UofT?
  9. Calling all students who are studying at University of Toronto or have applied. How much did you need to be accepted out of 45? While we all sent our Predicted Grades, the condition the letter asked us to have is maintaining the grades. I'd like to ask, since my grades have kinda fallen from my Predicted Grades, how many of you had this experience that the offer actually got revoked from University of Toronto? Did you all take Summer School to make up for it? Also, how much is OK to fall from PG to Final? Can they really revoke at this stage since it's already July... I've gotten 32 points out of 45 All of you studying there, any thoughts?

  11. Do any of you use: http://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/ as a tool for checking plagiarism or grammar? Or do you know if this website sells your essays on someplace? I just used this once and I wanted to know if its safe to use. My School checked the same essay on Turnitin before sending to IB and it didn't show any plagiarism ? Do any of you know aanybody who uses these or have used this and found it useful?
  12. I just wanted to know if Specimen Papers for 2017 were released or we just have to stick to the specimen papers of 2016? Does IB release specimen papers for each year?
  13. Are there specimen papers released for the year 2017 or we just use 2016?
  14. Do read this if you take Psychology or know stuff about Psychology. Here's something I need advice on. So you guys know how EE submissions are done before IA submissions. I did me EE in Biology and I also take Psych. So in my EE in Biology I took consent forms from my participants that had general instructions promising them that there will be voluntary participation, allowed withdrawal, no harm, etc. This was part of the form in the EE. When the entire EE was put through turnitin, it didn't have any highlighted portion. A month after submission, we submitted out Psych IAs. As a lot Psych students may know, IAs require an experiment to be conducted where you write a consent form and briefing forms and everything. I wrote the similar instructions there as well since I knew how consent forms were written after doing my EE. The issue is that one phrase regarding withdrawl came highlighted when checked under turnitin. It was the same phrase I used in my EE. 6 words. I don't know if it came highlighted from my own EE or some other document. But I've been thinking about this since day 1. So I changed these words in my Psych IA but now I'm worried why is that phrase coming highlighted in the first place when it didn't come highlighted in my EE. What my argument here is, are general ideas part of the consent form that are taught in class (eg 'you may leave the experiment if you wish' etc) considered to be plagiarised? Because that phrase was what came highlighted in my IA but not in my EE. Are such ideas part of consent form considered to be plagiarism because they are common instructions. The thing is, I'm just so worried that recentally I've been going through some really bad depressive symptoms, where i have been constantly under pressure and have stress regarding this issue. Secondly, do schools send turnitin reports along with EEs and WAs and stuff to IB? or does IB have a system of their own to check because school send it then that won't be a problem because in the report for my EE it did not show any highlighted portion Can somebody give me advice on this?
