  1. The part of yours that felt wrong was the "...as the villain, however Victor..." part. I would focus on changing that. Maybe "In Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein, while it is commonly assumed the monster is the villain, Victor Frankenstein's desire to conceal his creation exposes him as the true menace of the story." I still think this is stilted and needs work, though.
  2. Gooey Rework in my pants
  3. Hello, Do I need a cover page for the director's notebook? I have a table of contents, but I assume I need an additional page with name/title/year/etc. Does anyone have information on this? Thank you in advance.
  4. Duranti, Marco. "Utopia, Nostalgia and World War at the 1939-40 New York World's Fair." Journal of Contemporary History 41, no. 4 (2006): 663-83, pp. 664-665. EE fun.
  5. Hello all, I am writing my History EE on the topic of the New York World's Fair of 1939-1940. Since this subject is not too widely known, I know I have to give background information on the global climate. However, I do not want to cut too far into the word count or divert attention from my thesis. Is there a certain number of words you would recommend? Should I give a lot of context in the introduction or before each claim I use to support the thesis?
  6. I'm in the middle of writing my history EE and I have a TON of sources. However, I chose a rather obscure subject so most commonly there's only a little bit of information actually pertinent to my thesis in each source. At least ten sources seem like a good number...just be sure to have primary sources!
  7. Hi there! I was in my school's wind ensemble this year, but next year I'm taking a study hall instead just because I've fallen out of love with playing my instrument, not really for time management reasons. Personally, I was able to keep everything under control without a study hall.
  8. Done! Best of luck with your IA.
  9. This sleep was riddled with nightmares that stung into his mind like a thousand hornets.
  10. Even though our class got a month, many people didn't start until a week before the due date. Theirs was a bit rough, to say the least, but it isn't hard to fill the 20 pages; the difficult part is having 20 complete pages. I would recommend writing down every idea you come up with for your play-- it helps for the second and third sections. Also, always write what effect something would have on the audience because I've looked at some exemplars and IB loves it. Best of luck!
  11. Hello everyone, For my group 4 project, I am doing a comparison of my school's heating energy source to other schools around the world. I'm interested in: Fossil fuels Hydroelectric Solar Nuclear Geothermal If your school uses one of these methods to heat the building, please tell me a little about it. Thank you!
